It is a fascinating historical and cultural park built in memory of the famous Chinese poet Du Fu. The park boasts beautiful scenery, full of charming traditional Chinese architecture and gardens with a strong cultural atmosphere. A must-visit spot in Chengdu, highly recommended!

It was incorrect to tell us to pick up tickets at the visitor center. For foreigners, you should present your passport at the ticket office (I entered through the North Gate) and they will give you the tickets. However, the scenic area itself is quite nice, though it's easy to get lost. If you're with a tour guide, you might miss some prime photo spots. If you're exploring on your own, I recommend taking a picture of the map first and following it, then feel free to wander around afterward, because every photo here turns out beautifully.
Guide
- This is the former residence of Du Fu, a famous poet of the Tang Dynasty, during his exile in Chengdu. Du Fu lived here for nearly four years and composed over a hundred poems, making it regarded as a "sacred place" in the history of Chinese literature. The current Du Fu Thatched Cottage has been restored multiple times through the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties.
- The cottage is located on the bank of the Huanhua Stream outside the west gate of Chengdu, with pavilions and towering ancient trees throughout the garden. After entering through the main gate, the three main buildings—Daxie, Poetry History Hall, and Gongbu Shrine—are arranged in order from south to north along the central axis. To the northeast of Gongbu Shrine are the Shaoling Stele Pavilion and the thatched cottage where the great poet lived. To the east of the thatched cottage is the Penjing Garden, and to the south are Huanhua Shrine, Flower Path, Daya Hall, and the Thatched Cottage Exhibition Room near the south gate.
