My experience on the Kodama 825 from Tokyo to Atami was excellent. I highly recommend purchasing the oversized luggage seat, especially for travelers with large bags! The space behind the seat is very generous, so you don't have to constantly worry about blocking the aisle or repeatedly lifting your luggage, which significantly improved overall comfort. The train car was clean and quiet, and the seats were spacious and very comfortable. Even though the journey wasn't long, I was able to relax and enjoy the scenery along the way. The seating arrangement this time was also great, with plenty of room; it didn't feel crowded at all for two people. The Shinkansen rode smoothly and was very punctual, which is incredibly convenient for travelers with large luggage. The ticket purchasing process was simple and clear, making the entire experience very smooth. If you're traveling to Atami, Hakone, or similar destinations with large luggage, I highly recommend reserving an oversized luggage seat in advance; it will make your trip much easier. I would definitely choose to ride this way again.
