We have stayed at The Morrow many times, and it’s consistently excellent in terms of the room size, cleanliness of the facilities, helpfulness of the staff, and quality of the restaurant.

My husband and I recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at The Morrow Hotel, Washington DC, Curio Collection, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I honestly have not traveled or stayed at hotels very often, even locally, so this meant a great deal to both of us. What we experienced at The Morrow reminded me what true hospitality, care, and professionalism are supposed to feel like. From the very beginning, Alamyar Ferdows made us feel welcomed, appreciated, and genuinely cared for. His level of customer service exceeded our expectations and was one of the best hospitality experiences I have had in many years. Mr. Ferdows was not only professional and attentive, but also warm, understanding, personable, and sincere. You could immediately tell he truly cared about making our anniversary memorable rather than simply processing another hotel check-in. One of the most impressive moments of our stay was the personalized room upgrade Mr. Ferdows arranged for our anniversary celebration. That gesture alone showed tremendous thoughtfulness and attention to detail. After checking in, he personally escorted us to our room, which added a level of class, professionalism, and personal connection that is extremely rare today. During the walk to the room, he took the time to explain the hotel's amenities, dining options, and features throughout the property, making us feel completely comfortable. We will be back! Many of the Burgess's.

I'm usually pretty good at picking hotels - this was not one of my better choices. Reserved a room with a balcony, got no balcony. As we arrived at night and were tired after a long flight, we didn't notice til it was too late. Ordered room service, chicken sandwiches, which were inedible - old, tired, stringy chicken, served in the brown bag version of room service, which I despise. The bed was too low and oddly sloppy. Bedside tables too small. A baffling thermostat with tiny, dim and puzzling symbols. In the shower are the usual 3 bottles of shampoo, gel and conditioner - photo uploaded. Many people wear glasses - no one wears them in the shower which makes it impossible to read the tiny, overly busy labels - even before the room is plunged into darkness. (See the following.) But the single most annoying thing was the bathroom light on a motion detector which triggers when you're still ten feet from the bathroom, flooding the bedroom with bright light. Not great at night. Not great if you stay a bit too long in the shower and end up feeling your way around after the switch decides you've seen enough. The location is great, and that's about all that recommends The Morrow.

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with my recent stay at your property. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations, especially given the price point. First, the phone in the room did not work. I reported this issue twice and was told it would be looked at, but nothing was ever done. I also requested a noon checkout with the front desk, but this was never entered into the system. I had to go back the following morning to remind the staff, which should not have been necessary. There were also basic amenities missing. There was no small shop or convenience area available for guests who may have forgotten essential items, which is something I would expect from a hotel at this level. Additionally, I approached the front desk with a general question, and the staff member made eye contact with me and then walked away, leaving the desk unattended. That level of service is unacceptable. As for dining, while I did not try the restaurant, the menu alone was enough to discourage me. Combined with the location, which offers very limited nearby food options unless you travel out or go to a grocery store several blocks away, this created an inconvenience. I attempted to rely on Uber Eats and DoorDash both nights, and both times the orders were incorrect, and the restaurants did not answer their phones when I tried to resolve the issues. To add to the overall experience, motel 6 had better staff and amenities
