Relaxing boutique hotel. Exactly what we wanted for a relaxing time together. We enjoyed the Mountain View and even saw a few deer while we enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck. Breakfast was simple and just what we needed to get the day started. Plenty of golf carts to pick you up & bring you down to the city center. They even held our luggage and brought it to the ferry landing when we were ready to leave. Everyone was welcoming and professional. We would certainly come back.

Beautiful property. Nice breakfast. Far enough from the noise of downtown but a short wall to get there or grab a ride on the hotel golf cart. The only issue is that the soundproofing is not great. We heard our loud miso maybe try to be on the top floor!

First time to Catalina! Hotel was nice and well maintained but the staff is amazing!!!!
So accommodating and friendly!!!!
Enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay there again.
We didn’t realize that breakfast was included. I assumed it would consist of muffins and juice but they cook to order right in front of you.
Everything was great.
I wish I remembered everyone’s name but Alexis, Keven and Enrique and others were awesome.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The entire place was incredibly clean, and the views were absolutely stunning. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Every staff member was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast served on the second floor every morning was absolutely beautiful, and I highly recommend trying it—it's definitely worth it instead of going out for breakfast.

Fantastic The shuttle from the Catalina express was amazing! They were there right when we got off and shuttled us to the hotel to drop off our bags! Check-in was super fast. The breakfast was really good. The pool is super nice (not heated). The view is a great overlook of Avalon area! The room is super cute and clean. The hotel staff are amazing! They have golf carts to shuttle you up and down to the main area. We are very impressed with our stay here! They even shuttled our bags down for us so we could tour around bag free! Amazing service.

Below averageStayed with family · For friends and family
My three-day stay at the Zane Grey Pueblo Hotel was highly disappointing. The service was severely lacking across the board; the front desk staff were rude, unhelpful, and struggled with a language barrier. The staff at the front desk would not answer the phone and left it unattended for long periods of time.
Housekeeping was almost non-existent—maids only visited once during our entire stay, knocking very early in the morning and never returning to clean the room.
The hotel's hilltop location made accessibility a major issue, as securing a lift up and down the hill was nearly impossible. The staff also expected tips for any effort put forth to shuttle us up or down the hill.
Additionally, the on-site restaurant is only open in the morning and remains closed for the rest of the day, which is highly inconvenient given the isolated location. The only redeeming quality of this property is the beautiful view of Catalina Bay, but it unfortunately does not make up for the terrible service. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Catalina Island.
