Really nice hotel at a fair price. Well located by the beach. Ideal for visitors of Tonsai Beach.

GreatStayed with friends
Clean rooms, good air conditioning, absolutely amazing location for nature.
BUT almost zero amenities to access.
You must take a boat to go anywhere and get anything. Which during certain tides can be a challenge.

Great Stayed in the superior semi detatched cottage. This was towards the back of the complex where the entry/exit gate was. The rooms were lovely & spacious, decorated clean & moden style. Lovely shower with hot water. We arranged to be met at the airport by staff, driven to Ao Nang pier & boat to the hotel which all went well. The place was beautiful and very peaceful. We had one problem with the accommodation that night the place was full of ants by the doors and windows inside the property, these ants bite. There were gaps in the sliding patio doors and it was the same for the property next door (think it was 116 & 117) We complained to front desk and they moved us immediately. We were moved down closer to reception where the cottages were up about 4 stairs and not completely ground level. They also had much better fitting doors. Also beware that due to this being a very quiet resort if you want to get the boat to any other beaches or Ao nang for any trips its 800 bhat each way, I had a couple of trips booked and had to pay x 4 including the trips unless you can get enough people to share costs. Most other places it 100 - 150 bhat. Also check which water you use from mini bar some are free some are pay for.
That said the staff were lovely, great breakfast cooked to order with plenty of choice. The snack bar/restaurants were excellent with great menu choices. I would definitely stay there again but not book any trips from there and stay in newer cottages or sea view.

Fantastic The staff, the breakfast, the smiles, the seclusion. I can’t put my finger on the best. So I’ll say this resort is the best. In my experience. Thank you Tonsei staff and resort

GoodStayed with kids
Clean and well equipped room. Very friendly staff. Amazing location with fabulous views and atmosphere. However, we didn’t go to breakfast at the resort restaurant after being scared off by the food poisoning reviews (lots of them) on google but no issue ourselves. We went to the Monkey Bar instead, which is next door which was excellent. The illnesses could however be linked to people going in the sea as the monkey bar had no such reviews and is linked to a hotel with a pool so perhaps less people going in the sea! The area needs a sewage system and after heavy rain there was obvious signs that sewage was discharging near the pick up and drop off boats which you have to wade to!!! Yes this can occur in any country but there were several signs of sewage directly entering the beach even before the storms.
I do recommend this place as overall its more quiet that Railay but you need to manage the situation to stay well. If you need western standards then visit this place as a day trip as it is a fabulous environment overall and a cool hangout for climbers. You can also avoid the boat sewage by walking the easy short scramble from Railay West but this can be subject to tide unless you’re happy to get a bit wet. Overall a fabulous place!

GoodSolo stay
Things to watch for. Upon check in there’s a 5% charge on the bill for using a credit card. Unless you are a series rock climber there’s nothing much to do. The longboats try and rip you off. Take cash as I didn’t see any ATMS and a couple of times paying for food/dinner cash only. That said rooms were very clean staff lovely. Would I go back… No
