Great The hotel was in a good location for the bus line to get anywhere in the city. The check-in process was not what I expected to see just to check in 30 minutes early. I was directed to join their online club to be able to check in early which i didn't completely mind since the train ride in from northern UK was about 3 hours. What I didn't like about check-in came after I got to my room which was a handicap assisted room...and they would not change it when requested! The hotel was also right next to plenty of places to eat and drink including grocery stores to buy quick bites to eat and drink since the room also had a small refrigerator in the room.

Great place to stay. Awesome location, 15 to 20 minutes walk to main attractions like Big Ben, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, etc. the place has free coffee all day long and a little restaurant where you can get a delicious breakfast.

Below averageStayed with partner
My experience was disappointing. Four months later I receive a letter from a collections agency legal department stating that I owe the hotel €80. Upon receiving the collections letter I immediately reached out to the hotel and Vanessa, Senior Receptionist, handed the situation. She said I left and checked out without paying the breakfast.
After experiencing an inconvenience during my stay, a member of the hotel staff informed me that breakfast would be complimentary that day as a gesture of goodwill. Based on that assurance, I accepted the offer, which is also why there is no signature from me acknowledging any breakfast charges.
While I paid the charge, this experience left me questioning the hotel’s transparency and internal communication. If a member of the staff offers a complimentary service to resolve an issue, that commitment should be honored. Otherwise, guests are left wondering whether they can rely on what they are told.
For me, this was never about the money. It was about trust, consistency, and customer service and how Vanessa, Senior Receptionist of the hotel, handed the situation. A hotel’s reputation is built on keeping its promises, especially when those promises are made to resolve a guest concern.
I will also be submitting a formal complaint to the corporate office so they are aware of how this situation was handled. I hope this feedback encourages better communication and accountability, ensuring future guests do not have a similar experience.

Beware room 004 on Mezanine floor as it has secondary glazing and faces the busy street. The old external window frame is broken and therefore cannot be closed, so the room is very noisy with passing pedestrians and 24 hour traffic. We complained to reception but could not be moved until day two as the hotel was full. Staff were helpful for our remaining nights.

GoodSolo stay
I have stayed at this hotel 6 times now. All booked thru Hotels.com.
The last three occasions I was given the smallest rooms. As a solo traveler
I've come to expect this.
The picture online never matches what you get.
Not sure I'll stay there again.
I like the location but not always being put in the smallest room.
also for all the years I've been using Hotels.com I have never been offered an upgrade.
Why is That?
