Fantastic
We were incredibly happy with our stay here. We tend to like places that are less corporate feeling and have a bit of character, and this place really fit that. But was really high end, as well. Our booking didn’t include breakfast, so we can’t speak to that, but there were tons of delicious local neighborhood spots around that we were really happy with. The room we were in (Family Room) was huge! We were on the fourth floor and were blown away by our view of Dean Village. The elevator was broken when we arrived (they sent us a message about that in advance), but they did offer to take out bags upstairs for us. The elevator was fixed the next day, but it is very tiny. Only room for 2 people, comfortably. If you’re claustrophobic at all. You may want to take the stairs. All the staff were very polite and very helpful. The caliber of professionalism made us feel like we were staying at the Ritz. We would definitely stay here again

Fantastic
This was our second time staying at this hotel. The charm of the Victorian terrace house drew us in, the care and attention of the staff decided our return. The quiet West End location is perfect for getting into the city centre, a short walk from the airport tram and Village of Dean / Stockbridge. Be sure to take a restful moment in the stunning library!

Good
The staff greeted us warmly when we arrived . However, we were on the 3rd floor with no lift service, as it was broken. Getting luggage up to floor was a nightmare & we dreaded walking up them after a long day of walking around Edinburgh. The dining staff were friendly , with excellent customer service . Breakfast was varied & very good choices. There was a bar that looked well stocked . We did not use it . Location was great , away from the busy city centre but within walking distance to everything Our room was fab , great views , clean , well equipped. Let down by the shower , we could not get it to be consistent, one minute cold next boiling . This was the only let downs . Staff were so lovely we couldn’t moan at them.

This hotel was a unique boutique styled property with exquisite finishes throughout the common areas. The library on the first floor was beautiful and I suppose that was part of the building’s history as it contained an interesting collection of classic medical journals. Although the room was small by North American standards, it was comfortable and had all of the expected amenities. This hotel is conveniently located and is within walking distance of the train station and all of the attractions we wished to visit. The staff was personable and I would certainly stay at this hotel again.
