A most wonderful hotel in a terrific neighborhood within walking distance of the lake. The rooms are very spacious, beautifully designed and elegantly decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom with walk-in shower and enough room for a stool was accommodated two sinks and plenty of good quality towels. The staff was delightful, prompt and super efficient. Room and maid service were excellent. Breakfast at CH 42 seems expensive .But for us it is THE Go -TO address in Zurich. Stay Away from this hotel. This is at best a 3.5-star hotel, not the 5-star listed here. There is no air conditioning to speak of, rooms were at best at 27 degrees C at night. The staff is wonderfully polite though, but would be good if they would not lie about not being able to fix the air conditioning and rooms not being ready -- when the rooms actually were ready. Overall, a poor quality hotel and no reason to stay here if you have other choices.
