I had to cut my trip short so I only stayed for 2 nights, but I got very good rest in the hostel. I got the solo room with own bathroom which was small, as expected but entirely serviceable. The bed was firm but comfortable and the bathroom/shower is clearly in need of repair but also workable. The walls are thin, as the other reviewers noted, and the A/C did turn off on me, as others also noted, but I didn't really mind that. In this hostel, what you're paying for really is the proximity to Sultahnahmet and that was useful to me especially since I only had a weekend to explore. It's a short and beautiful walk to the park, the mosques and museums, even the port and markets I think are walkable if you put your mind to it. I very much liked being able to cover everything on foot. The surrounding area is full of cool (but expensive) restaurants, but also grocers where you can buy drinks and snacks for cheap. Overall, I think the pros outweigh the cons.
