Fantastic 5.0
Enjoyed rhe trip to Noosa Heads thoroughly. There was a surfing event that day so the beach was full of people. Driver was kind enough to drop us at the park so we only need to walk the. Boardwalk in one direction only.

Fantastic 5.0
I participated in the 2-hour Guided Mangroves and Mansions Tour with Kayak Noosa. After booking, you will receive a confirmation email with information such as the meeting time and location. Remember to bring your own water bottle, apply sunscreen, and wear sunglasses!!! This is the activity where you're most likely to get a tan!! However, if you forget to bring water, you can buy it at a small coffee shop on the wooden bridge for about AUD$3. Also, on the day of the tour, some spots have big waves and some participants fell into the water (the water isn't deep), so it's best to wear a swimsuit, and if you bring your phone, bring a waterproof case!! I originally planned to each use a single kayak with my partner, but on the day, the instructor directly informed us that we would be sitting in one kayak. The instructor didn't explain the reason, but you will understand once you start, as it is an activity that requires physical strength. I was glad that I didn't choose to paddle a kayak by myself, because after an hour into the activity, my arms were already very tired, and there were some places where the waves were bigger, requiring more strength to cross. Two people can take turns resting, and also take photos of each other. On the day of the activity, you will first put on a life jacket at the meeting point and be briefed on how to use the kayak, after which you will get directly into the kayak. At first, it will be a little awkward because you have to coordinate with your partner and paddle evenly to the left and right, but you will adapt quickly. The instructor will always pay attention to and care about our condition, making us feel very safe during the process. The instructor introduces the mangroves and various creatures along the way, allowing us to learn about this protected natural environment. I was very happy that we were finally able to see the "very fast and hard-to-find little tail"! This was my first time kayaking, and I thoroughly enjoyed this activity. Noosa is my favorite place on this trip to Australia, and you must experience it if you have the chance! *If possible, I hope the instructor can add some time for participants to take photos along the way, after all, this mangrove forest is so beautiful and worth taking photos to commemorate!

What to know before visiting Noosa

What to expect from Noosa’s top experiences

Noosa’s bookings are led by water activities and cruises, with tours and outdoor & sports activities trailing behind; the busiest months are January and December, while demand drops off sharply around November. Expect the calendar to peak in the summer holiday periods and be much quieter in the late spring–early winter trough.

Best activities by traveller type

Families will gravitate to water activities and cruises — gentle boat trips and beach-based options suit kids and mixed-age groups. Couples often pick cruises or relaxed outdoor activities for scenic, low-stress days together. Solo travellers and small groups tend to favour tours and outdoor & sports activities for more active or discovery-focused experiences.

What travellers from Hong Kong book ahead

Most travellers from Hong Kong book with moderate flexibility: typical bookings are made only a few days before travel, though the earliest planners still reserve activities roughly two weeks in advance. Booking ahead becomes particularly worthwhile for visits in the peak months of January and December when demand is highest.

How the categories compare on price and who they suit

Tours are the easiest way in on a budget, representing the lowest mid-range price point and a straightforward choice for cost-conscious visitors. Water activities sit in the mid-range and are ideal for families and anyone wanting a classic seaside experience. Cruises are the priciest on average and also show the widest spread of options, so they can suit both mid-range travellers seeking comfort and those willing to pay more for premium experiences. Outdoor & sports activities occupy a similar mid-to-upper bracket and appeal to travellers after active, nature-oriented days.
