One of the most wonderful Australian experience. Beyond our expectation. The tour was well prepared. The Tour Guide, JONO, he is the man of the show. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and humorous. 5 stars services at an affordable price.

The tour guide curtis was friendly and good, serving as both tour guide and driver in his own hands. Very detailed explanation of the itinerary, and different places to be aware of places, time will not be very rushed. At the end of Penguin Island you can see many little penguins very happy. Since it was past eight when we got back to the city after the trip, he would recommend us what restaurants were good for the evening. Then we went to a recommended Chinese restaurant and ice cream shop that was really delicious. 10 points recommended.

The tour guide Curtis was great - he spoke English, Mandarin and Cantonese - three languages in turn! Will tell Tips and will explain the content but will give us time to rest! The place we went was very good, the Rainbow House was so deserted that we were able to take a lot of photos. The train was very lucky to be seated with the family, and was taken super many photos, and there were many passages to greet passers-by! Finally, Penguin Island is where you can really see penguins, small and cute!

The tour guide Curtis is very serious! The whole itinerary is very tight, but very satisfying. You don't have to drive yourself (there are no street lights on the whole road from the penguin parade at night, and there are kangaroos in the conservation area at any time), and you don't have to rush there by yourself, you can have a good trip! Recommended~

Their partner is Go West Tours. From their confirmation and communication about the tour, it is very clear. James C, our tour guide and driver is very helpful and knowledgeable about Melbourne i.e. history, tourist spots. He gave us tips on what to do and I find it very applicable. Another plus is that he drove us back safely to the drop off point. Our 1st stop is Brighton Boxes where those cute and uniquely colorful houses outshined in the and with the sea. It was followed by a trip to Moonlit Sanctuary to meet those cute Koalas, fed the kangaroos. And the last/main tour is the Penguin Parade where we witnessed those little penguins carefully appear among the waves and waddle their way to their humble abode.

Culture and History

The Brighton Bathing Boxes are steeped in history, with most constructed between 1907 and 1933. Originally built as changing rooms to preserve the modesty of bathers, these boxes are now heritage-listed and protected under state legislation. The area is also of high Aboriginal sensitivity, with the Bunurong people having a longstanding connection to the coastline. These timber and weatherboard structures have retained their classic architectural features, offering a window into the past while remaining a beloved part of Melbourne's beach culture. Originating from Victorian-era morality, these boxes reflect a time when modesty was paramount in seaside activities. They are a rare example of such structures near Melbourne's central business district, offering a glimpse into the past while serving as a canvas for artistic expression.

Local Flora and Fauna

Behind the beach lies the Dr Jim Willis Reserve, home to the last vestige of natural vegetation along Brighton's foreshore. This area supports a variety of native plants and animals, including the superb fairywren and the tiger snake, offering nature enthusiasts a chance to explore the local biodiversity.

Local Cuisine

Brighton boasts a vibrant dining scene with a variety of cafes and eateries. Indulge in the local favorite, Fish Tank Fish and Chippery, for a classic beachside meal, or enjoy a healthy salad at one of the many charming cafes like Brighton Soul or Little Tommy Tucker Café.

Artistic Expression

Licensees of the bathing boxes personalize their huts with unique artistic and color variations, turning the beach into a dynamic art gallery. This ever-changing display attracts photographers, painters, and artists, who capture the beauty of these structures against the backdrop of Port Phillip Bay.
