Things to do in Abu Simbel

It was a great trip to see Abu simbel from Luxor as I did not need to go to Aswan first. The driver was very nice and caring.

The transportation pick-up was very punctual, and the driver worked hard to get us to the Abu Simbel temples before the tour groups. However, this private guided tour was already priced a bit higher than other local travel agencies. On the return trip, the driver held out an envelope asking everyone for tips, which made us feel like the price wasn't all-inclusive. Why would they ask guests for tips? Also, the itinerary didn't mention tipping or whether driver tips were included.

We had an amazing day touring Luxor with Ahmed Yossry! From start to finish, everything was smooth, well-organized, and stress-free. He showed us not just the famous sites but also the hidden gems that made the experience truly special. Ahmed is incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights throughout the day, bringing the history of Luxor to life in a way that was easy to understand and engaging. On top of that, he made sure we felt safe and comfortable at all times, which made a big difference in enjoying the experience fully. Overall, I am satisfied. The guides and coordinators were mostly very kind. I was very grateful for the quick responses during our prior communications. However, I would have liked a more detailed schedule. If I had known there would be time to explore the cities in Aswan on day 1 and Luxor on day 3, I believe I could have spent my time more productively. It was unfortunate that the quality of the guides varied, and on one occasion, for transportation, we had a carriage transfer where we were asked for a higher-than-average tip.

I was worried about how to meet the guide since it was my first time using this, but I was easily connected with the guide via WhatsApp and had a great time without any worries.
