Oh my gosh what an incredible experience! I booked this excursion hesitantly, because I LOVE elephants, and don't want to partake in anything that has to do with abusing an animal. I was impressed with the introductory speech Nancy gave, giving us a background on the elephants history, where they're rescued from, appropriate activity and actions around the elephants while we're near them. It was saddening to hear the stories of some of the elephants and what they have been rescued from, but also so heartwarming to see them thriving in an environment where they're clearly loved and cared for. Feeding the elephants was so fun! Each elephant has their own personality, and you can see that through their behavior. I spent the washing time petting them instead, and don't regret any of it for a second. When we come back to Thailand to Chiang Mai, we'll visit their sister locations in the northern part of the location. Thank you Nancy, Eddy, and Mr M! We had a wonderful time!

I visited with my grandparents (older travelers) and this was a really accessible experience where the guides were really friendly and the elephants were free to roam! The carers of the elephants followed the elephant and not the other way around, it was amazing to see them play. The highlight for me was the elephant hospital, and getting to meet the veterinarian who was caring for a sick elephant of old age. Its amazing what they are doing for the elephant species as a whole in phuket, the site is really peaceful too and the food was excellent!

This is one of the best activities I did in Phuket and worth every cent but I felt sorry for the guys walking with the horse at the beach while I’m on the horse😮‍💨. But he was very helpful in many ways, very kind too-I forgot his name. I did the 4pm slot though I wanted the sunset slot, it was fully booked. And apparently you can also request to ride a white horse-just state it on your booking details before hand.

Fun morning learning to make elephant food and feeding them! the elephants are adorable and gentle! Hotle pick-up provided and some food and refreshments provided as well (Pad-Thai, som tam and fruits). Recommedned!

Absolutely unforgettable experience!! We chose the feed and bathe at the beach option, and it was hands down the best experience of our trip. This is a full three hours of truly hands-on time with the elephants, preparing a meal for them, feeding them, walking alongside them, and bathing with them in the ocean. Nothing felt rushed, staged, or crowded. The elephants are clearly happy, healthy, and well cared for. They are well fed and genuinely seem to enjoy playing in the water and on the beach, which made the experience feel even more special and ethical. At the end, they offer a professional photo package, and we’re so glad we got it. There are so many beautiful photos that perfectly capture the experience and give us lasting memories of such a special day. If you’re looking for an ethical, immersive, and unforgettable elephant experience in Thailand, this is it. We would recommend this camp without hesitation and would do it again in a heartbeat.

The sanctuary is vast, amongst lush greenery. Facilities are clean and well-maintained. I appreciate that they don’t allow touching or bathing of the elephants, prioritising the safety of the visitors, as well as the elephants’ welfare. You get to see the elephants in their element, as they roam freely. Our guide was also warm and knowledgable. Loved every minute of it!
