Fantastic 5.0
We participated in a 4-person guided tour of the Potala Palace and were extremely satisfied. The Potala Palace is a place well worth visiting, with many ancient murals, cultural relics, and architecture. Our guide, Chen Hui, provided detailed explanations, allowing us to learn more about Tibetan culture and gain a lot of valuable insight.

Fantastic 5.0
An excellent experience! It was perfect for us, as it was our first time visiting Tibet! Many thanks to our team leader, Duanduan, who was incredibly reliable, took professional photos, drove exceptionally well, and attended to each of our needs. The itinerary was also very satisfying, not rushed, yet comprehensive. Our group members were all wonderful, and we really enjoyed this small group tour. Highly recommended!

Fantastic 5.0
We are so grateful that our first scenic tour of Tibet allowed us to meet Master Da Fu. Some of the roads were very rugged, but the master's driving skills were steady and he was very experienced. He even proactively took photos for us along the way, and to our surprise, he pointed out and told us about the small plateau animals we encountered, which truly enhanced our scenic tour of Tibet!

What to know before visiting Lhasa

Discover Lhasa’s highlights and travel rhythm

Lhasa draws most interest from travellers for its cultural tours and guided experiences, with tours topping booking volumes on Klook. Demand rises and falls through the year, producing a clear high season and quieter months that shape when people visit.

Best months to visit for crowds and prices

Klook booking data show the busiest months are in November, while demand reaches a low in March. Prices follow a similar swing: November is typically the priciest month while March is typically the cheapest, and prices drift down from high autumn levels into a spring low. If you want smaller crowds and lower typical prices, consider visiting in March or April; for the full peak-season atmosphere, plan for November when demand and prices are both higher.

Tips for travellers from Hong Kong

Travellers from Hong Kong usually book a few weeks ahead — Klook data indicate typical bookings happen around three weeks in advance. If you’re flexible, many experiences can still be arranged within a week, but for travel in November’s peak season it helps to plan and book earlier. Use Klook to lock in tours and guided activities once your dates are fixed to avoid disappointment.
