Fantastic 5.0
Absolutely fantastic tour! The Grand Holland Rotterdam and The Hague Guided Day Tour was very comprehensive, well-organized, and incredibly comfortable from start to finish. We covered so many beautiful and iconic places without ever feeling rushed. Huge thanks to our excellent tour guide, Lucas, who was knowledgeable, entertaining, and made the entire experience unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Great 4.0
I visited because I love Escher's work so much, but it was disappointing that they weren't originals. If they had even displayed original prints, the artwork would have felt more alive and impactful. A double scoop of disappointment.

What to know before visiting The Hague

Highlights: What most visitors book and when

The Hague’s most-booked experiences are museums, followed by city cable car rides and guided tours, with demand peaking in April and dipping in January. Expect a strong spring surge — April is the busiest month, then demand eases through the summer and falls back toward the end of the year.

Best activities by traveller type

Families will find museums and gentle cable car outings an easy fit, as those categories suit relaxed, child-friendly sightseeing. Couples often opt for guided tours for deeper local stories or a more curated day out. Solo travellers and small groups can mix shorter museum visits with budget-friendly cable car rides and the wider range of tours for different interests.

What travellers from Hong Kong should book ahead

Most things in The Hague can be booked flexibly only a day or two before, though the earliest planners from Hong Kong typically secure key items around three weeks in advance. Booking earlier matters most for April, the peak month, when popular options fill up faster.

Comparing categories: price and who they suit

Cable car experiences are the easiest way in on budget, showing the lowest typical price point and simple access for most visitors. Museums sit at a modest mid-range level and suit anyone after culture without premium spend. Tours are the priciest and also the most varied — they offer the widest spread of options, from budget group walks to higher-end private guides, making them the best choice for travellers seeking tailored experiences.
