Fantastic 5.0
I highly recommend this itinerary. We visited two historical sites in two days and one night. The handicraft market itself was a bit like the stalls you see outside tourist attractions, but the transportation for the entire tour was very well arranged. Even though the train was significantly delayed, they patiently waited to take us home. We were able to enjoy every stop without worry. Thumbs up! However, I personally suggest allowing for some free time before and after the trip to rest, otherwise, the tight schedule and travel can be quite tiring!

Despite a minor mishap, we were provided with a truly wonderful tour! The guide for the Machu Picchu tour, in particular, was excellent and very thorough!

Fantastic 5.0
Choosing this guide for my Machu Picchu trip was an excellent decision. First, the service provided was outstanding for the price, and I was amazed by the value for money. Lunch was provided on the first day and was delicious. The guide's explanations were also very thorough, allowing me to explore the ruins while deeply understanding the historical background, which was very satisfying in terms of knowledge. What was especially wonderful was that they took plenty of time to show me around until I was completely satisfied. There was no rushing like in a group tour, and I was able to enjoy the scenery to my heart's content. Also, they provided dedicated support throughout the tour, and I am truly grateful that they didn't show any displeasure when I left something behind and diligently helped me search for it. Even during the trek, they took many photos at scenic spots and livened up the atmosphere, so I felt ingenuity everywhere to make the walking time itself enjoyable. They were always there for me from beginning to end, and thanks to this guide, it was a wonderful trip that will remain a lifelong memory.

Fantastic 5.0
We contacted the travel agency via WhatsApp two days before our trip and received our train tickets and itinerary the day before departure. On the day of the trip, our guide arrived promptly at 3:30 AM at our hotel to pick us up and take us to the train station. Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes, the hostel receptionist was already waiting for us and led us to the hostel to rest. We then had free time to explore Aguas Calientes, have lunch, and buy souvenirs! The next morning, before dawn, the receptionist had already prepared a simple breakfast for us. Our guide, Stiven, arrived on time at the hostel to pick us and the other group members up. The bus ride up the mountain offered incredibly beautiful scenery! We were very lucky with the weather; the views were crystal clear as soon as we reached the top. Our guide, Stiven, was very knowledgeable, providing excellent explanations in both Spanish and English, and gave us ample time to take photos. The tour concluded at noon, leaving us a few hours to have lunch before returning to the hostel to collect our luggage and depart from Aguas Calientes. This tour offered excellent value for money and is highly recommended!

What to know before visiting Machu Picchu

Quick snapshot of Machupicchu and what to expect

Machupicchu draws most bookings for Tours, with Parks & gardens also appearing among popular activities. Demand follows a clear annual rhythm, with a big surge in the middle of the year and much quieter months toward the end of the year.

Best times to visit and how prices move

According to Klook booking data, the busiest month is June and the quietest month is December. Prices, however, don’t always match demand: Klook’s price data shows prices staying relatively high through July–October and then dropping by a large margin in June of the following year. If you want smaller crowds and lower typical prices, visit in December or the quieter winter months; if you want the peak-season atmosphere and most activity, aim for June. Note that July–October remain relatively expensive even where demand varies.

Tips for travellers from Hong Kong

Most travellers lock plans in several weeks ahead: Klook’s typical booking behaviour shows bookings about 25 days in advance, with many last-minute bookings possible within roughly 8 days and some travellers booking earlier (around 59 days). If you’re flexible, you can still book a few days out, but for travel in June’s peak months consider firming up plans a few weeks beforehand. Use Klook to compare timing and find experiences that suit whether you prioritise lower prices or peak-season buzz.
