Fantastic 5.0
Compared to the Oita Zoo, this one is noticeably smaller, but the fun part is that you can buy food to feed the animals, similar to how it works in Canada! Also, you can tell they really care for their animals because every single one is very clean, except for the cows.

The scheduled pipe organ performances and antique instrument demonstrations were varied experience.

A super organized park! An opportunity to see animals up close like lemurs and monkeys and even feed them… I loved it! I highly recommend it 🥰 Price: I paid 5,500 through Klook for 2 adults and one 9-year-old child.

What to know before visiting Nasu

Top experiences and seasonal rhythm

Nasu is best known for its zoos & aquariums and museums, with animal-focused attractions leading bookings and museums offering a quieter counterpoint. Demand drifts through the year, peaking in 11月 and dipping around 4月, so the busiest months highlight outdoor and family-friendly draws while spring is much quieter.

Picks for families, couples and solo visitors

Families often head to zoos & aquariums — these attractions are popular, practical and naturally suited to kids. Couples will find museums a calm, budget-friendly option for a relaxed outing or a cultured half-day. Solo travellers and small groups can choose between the lively animal parks for a social day out or smaller museum visits for a low-cost, flexible experience.

What travellers from 香港 should book ahead

Most things in Nasu can be picked up close to your trip, but the earliest planners still tend to book around 2 days in advance, and that matters most in the peak month of 11月. If you’re visiting in the busiest period, lock in popular zoo & aquarium tickets earlier to avoid disappointment.

Comparing categories by price and who they suit

Museums are the easiest way in on a budget, typically sitting at the lower end of the price range and appealing to cost-conscious visitors and couples. Zoos & aquariums are the priciest on average and also show the widest spread of options, catering from entry-level family visits to higher-priced experiences — they suit families and anyone prioritising interactive, animal-focused days out.
