    Tucked in between two buildings found in Central, Arcane is a one Michelin star restaurant led by renowned chef, Shane Osborn. Specializing in European cuisine that you can have either ala carte or as a set, this restaurant’s menu is seasonal and includes high quality ingredients flown all the way from the UK, Japan, and France. Its lush terrace is popular to dine in, as it takes inspiration from an English tropical garden. The terrace also has its own kitchen garden that grows herbs, fruits, and vegetables that are used for the meals themselves. Arcane is definitely recommended for vegans and vegetarians as well!

Royer wanted the concept to reflect his values of ‘familial love and honest cooking,’ blending both fine dining and everyday cooking together. The restaurant itself is set in a two-storey heritage house, offering outdoor dining in the middle of its gardens.     Another outdoor resto-bar to discover is Lounge Hakuba, which was named after a location in Nagano, Japan. The cocktails here are worth trying out, such as Breakfast in the Alps, a rum cocktail with coffee added; End of Autumn, a citrus-flavored mix, and many more. Lounge Hakuba’s interiors are casual, but slightly more sophisticated than its funky alfresco area, which is reminiscent of a camping destination with tents and neon lights. This joint is definitely for nights when you’re looking to just have some earnest fun with old friends.

It’s hard to go wrong with a menu like that, plus given this restaurant’s brilliant terrace surrounded by gorgeous greens and gardens. If you’re up for an unassuming, but still-romantic first date with a potential significant other or just a night out with co-workers, then this is the place to hang out in.
