Review for: Accessory Making Experience

The teacher was very kind. Even though I don't speak Japanese and I'm not gifted in handcrafting, the teacher still taught with patience. Great experience. Definitely worth a shot.

Review for: Accessory Making Experience

It was such a treat to meet Satomi. The studio space is in a refurbished older building and she has a small gallery next door. Satomi is a wonderful teacher and fun to talk with. The process was well explained and she had the instructions in English. Satomi even recommended other places to visit while we are in Kyoto. We look forward to receiving our pieces in a few weeks! Highly recommend. This was a highlight for us.

Review for: Chopstick Rest Making Experience

A simple but fun experience in a charming setting. My wife and I had a great time and we'd strongly recommend this experience as a break from sightseeing, and creating a beautiful, personal trinket to remember your trip to Japan. The host is very kind and although she doesn't speak much English, she's adept with Google translate so communication is easy. It's essentially just arranging coloured glass but it's good fun to be creative and you are taught how to cut the glass. The firing process happens after you leave (it's not practical to wait for the glue to dry) and the result gets posted internationally for 1000¥.
