Asahiyama Zoo & Frozen Ice Sea Sunset Cruise Day Trip from Sapporo

Being able to go to such a far place by car for this price really saves us a lot of trouble. Every attraction in Hokkaido is too far away!

It turned out to be a good day to see the drift ice, so it was a good experience.

The ride is long and the zoo visit time is too short. If the meeting time can be earlier, the itinerary will be more appropriate.

The highlight of Asahiyama Zoo is watching penguins walking, but there are times at 11:00 and 14:30. If the itinerary time does not match, it should be explained so that consumers can choose whether to sign up. There was no ice at all on the icebreaker. I was really disappointed with this itinerary. The money was completely wasted.

It was truly the worst of the worst. The guide and driver were very friendly and nice, but other than that, it was really the worst. 1. Two Chinese ladies on the bus were talking really loudly all day, which was very annoying. 2. The main purpose of this tour was to take a drift ice cruise, but after the zoo, we went to Monbetsu. While on the way to the bus, I suddenly received a notice of flight cancellation. 3. People at the zoo were crushed. It was almost a round trip day trip from Seoul to Busan. When I checked the actual map, it was a 10 hour round trip. You have to be lucky to ride the drift ice ship. Considering the probability and time and cost, it is 100% not recommended. I completely lost one day of my short schedule of 3 nights and 4 days. Haha, I just threw away the money. Haha, I'm just left with frustration.

Since the guide was in Japanese, I only understood some Chinese characters, but it was still a useful experience. 'The Okhotsk Sea drift ice tour was fresh and magnificent, and the Asahiyama penguin procession was the pinnacle of cuteness! Their appearance was beauty itself, and this trip gave me a new experience. I highly recommend it!!

Fortunately, the icebreaker was running on the day we went. The local Japanese tour leader was very hardworking and dedicated, because it was a group of tourists from different countries, but the overall experience was very good.

Although I didn't see any drift ice, it was really fun to see some glaciers and cute penguins. The guide can only speak Japanese, but he worked hard to help us with a translator, so we had a great trip. For your information, the crab meat rice bowls sold as lunch boxes are really not that good, so visit a restaurant or convenience store at the port where the drift ice boat tour takes place!

We are a Korean couple. I was very worried because there were many reviews saying that the schedule was tight for traveling a long distance in one day. In conclusion, it is true that you have to move a little tight, but not so tight that you can't see what you need to see, and they skillfully schedule so that you can move efficiently within the given time. There was no problem at all as we stopped by the rest area every 1-2 hours. Guide Yamada-san's professionalism was top notch. Basically, the guide was in Japanese, but important information was also provided in English, so there was no difficulty. I can understand a little Japanese, so I was grateful and enjoyed the detailed guidance I received, such as the natural monument birds outside the window, the recommended list of omiyage, the congestion and cleanliness of the restroom, and recommended viewing points at the zoo. Even though it was the day I spent the most time outside during my trip to Hokkaido, it was the most comfortable day thanks to Yamada-san and the driver's pleasant guidance. I was lucky enough to see drift ice as much as I wanted, and the crab meat and salmon roe lunch box I ordered for dinner and ate in the car was very delicious. I was lucky that none of the passengers I traveled with had a good sense of time, so none of them were late for their appointments throughout the trip. The bus also had a wide gap between the front seats, so it was easy to recline the chair, and even my tall husband was able to stretch his legs comfortably. Thank you for making our trip enjoyable.
