At first i was kind of worry about the small sampan 🥴 luckily i booked this ticket online and we board from different jetty not kg kuantan 😆 The experience was very nice especially for kids . We had a good time with the family that are so excited to catch the fireflies hahaha. We are able to hold the fireflies in our hand . My kids so excited about this .

It was my first time to travel abroad alone. I saw on Klook that this activity could be signed up by one person and I chose this activity without any hesitation. I was traveling by car, so I didn’t choose the pick-up service, so the price was very favorable. When you arrive, the tour guide will hand out local specialty shrimp cakes as souvenirs, which is a great surprise. During the fireflies viewing session, there were even more attempts to catch fireflies in the hands of each tourist. It was the first time to come into contact with fireflies at such a close distance. Although the blue tears were not as blue and bright as expected, considering the price, This activity is very cost-effective and fully caters for solo travelers.

It was a wonderful experience and we had so much fun and excitement watching the eagles and swallows. Highly recommended for city people to see the fireflies and enjoy the rural way of life.

The check-in location is a fishing boat cafe. You have to go through the seafood restaurant next to Xiling Palace. The service staff can speak Chinese. The departure time is about 7 o'clock after the sun goes down but the sky is still slightly bright. The boat will drive at high speed to see more fireflies. It is a place where you will not slide at a slow speed all the way. If you get seasick, you may need to take seasickness medicine. You have to be mentally prepared for the mosquitoes and you will get bitten. Spraying mosquito repellent is useless. There are really many fireflies and they are beautiful. They will be in the woods. The boats flicker and flicker, and occasionally one or two will be attracted by the tour guide’s light to board the boat.

Recommended short tour at Kuala Selangor. Convenient place and easy to find the jetty. Friendly tour counter and friendly guide as well. We managed to catch some fireflies at boat, really enjoying tour and kids also very excited. Overall the boat is safe with life jacket provided. Remember to put mosquito repellent as really many mosquito there. Definitely will visit again.

The fireflies experience was amazing. Clean boat and the safety measure is stricly taken. The tour guide gives a detailed information in 3 languages;malay, chinese and english. She also are very friendly with all customers. We even get to play with the fireflies as they enter the boat. Best of all, no mosquito and no smelly river smell *need to bring a really good camera if want to take photo with visible fireflies *their cafe is superb too...all their staffs are very welcoming. will come here again
