Hue Traditional Crafts Full-Day Tour

My sister and I had a fun and informative day with tour guide Hao. Hao had fantastic English and was easy to understand. We loved every part of the day especially the flower making. Lunch and coffee stop was excellent. Thank you Hao for making our your so enjoyable.

We recently took a full-day tour and, honestly, it was not worth the money. While the tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, the actual tour itself left much to be desired. 1. **Vinh Quoc Cong Palace** – We arrived to find the palace closed, and the company didn’t even seem aware of this beforehand. We ended up sitting around awkwardly for about an hour, drinking coffee with no real purpose. 2. **Luc Bo Cultural Space** – Learning to make the traditional hats was fun, but the experience was uncomfortable. The staff and tour guide hovered over us the entire time, which made it hard to enjoy the activity. 3. **Lunch** – We skipped the lunch as I wasn’t feeling 100%, but given how the rest of the day went, I’m glad we did. 4. **The House of Flowers** – This was the highlight of the day! It’s a beautiful concept where you can support a small business that helps deaf and mute individuals. We really appreciated this stop. 5. **Làng Hương (Incense Class)** – Honestly, this felt like a tourist trap. You could easily visit on your own, and the “class” involved a very brief demonstration before being moved along to make room for other customers. 6. **Local Spa** – The foot bath was essentially just dipping your toes in water. It felt more like an upsell for a massage, which we didn’t need after such a short day. The tour was overall disappointing and not worth the high cost. The itinerary felt rushed and had nothing to do, finishing in under four hours instead of a full day. Plus, we had to wear hats and carry flags with the company’s logo at every stop, which felt like a marketing gimmick (also, the hats they gave us was dirty and the water bottles seem used). The private car, while convenient, was outdated and seemed like it was rented from a third party. For the price, I’d recommend looking for other options, as this one didn’t live up to expectations. A local could easily show you around for a fraction of the cost. Also, they made you take a survey at the end while staring at you at the hotel lobby you are staying at, we felt uncomfortable leaving bad review in front of the tourguide and had to wait until we completely checked out.
