What to expect
🎨 Seoul Life Drawing is an open drawing session at Mithril Studio, held more than 400 times
Observe and draw the human body from a live model, capturing movement, volume, and the energy of each pose.
Each session features a professional life model with timed poses. There is no formal lesson or fixed style, so you can draw freely at your own pace.
Everyone is welcome, from beginners to painters, illustrators, designers, and art students. Basic drawing materials are provided, so no extra supplies are needed.
Participants come from Korea and around the world. After the session, enjoy a welcome drink, share drawings, and chat with fellow participants.
Experience Seoul’s local art community at Mithril Studio in Euljiro, where old industry and contemporary art culture meet.
We invite a new model each week, and every session features a different theme.
Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere where you can draw freely in your own style.
Special themed sessions are occasionally added as surprise pop-up events.
The session takes place in a local artist’s inspiring studio. Feel free to look around after the session.
Good to know
- If this is your first time trying life drawing, please let us know in advance. We can offer brief guidance before the session and during breaks.
- Free scrap paper collected from local markets in Euljiro is available at the studio. Drawing tools are also provided, so you can come empty-handed.
- You are welcome to bring your own sketchbook, or purchase one at the studio.
- Hot tea, coffee, and a small selection of alcoholic drinks are available. Feel free to enjoy a drink while you draw.
- We work only with professional life models in Korea. If you have any questions about the session or the model, feel free to ask.
