Reviews summaryWe had an amazing heli hike experience and were so fortunate to have Tyana as our guide! She was incredibly friendly, informative, and approachable throughout the entire trip. She made an effort to speak with every participant individually, constantly checked in to make sure we were doing okay, and patiently answered all our questions. Tyana shared so much interesting information about Fox Glacier, which made the experience even more memorable and meaningful. We felt very safe and well taken care of throughout the hike. All the necessary gear was provided, including waterproof pants and jackets, backpacks, hiking sticks, waterproof boots, and crampons, so we were fully prepared for the conditions. The hike itself was manageable and not overly tiring, with plenty of pit stops along the way to rest and take beautiful photos. Overall, it was such a fun and unforgettable experience, and we’re really happy to have had Tyana as our guide. Highly recommend!
Despite their high level of efficiency, they never lost the human element. Every interaction was marked by warmth, patience, and a "nothing is too much trouble" attitude. Thumbs up for All the youngster guides !!
Really a must try activity in NZ though it’s kinda expensive. But for the helicopter ride and 3 hours of hiking on the glacier, I would say it’s worth it. I feel safe throughout the activity and they provide good and ample attire and equipments to ensure you are safe and dry. The guides and the service staffs at the check in are all very professional and friendly.
The trip of a lifetime is definitely worth the price. Whether it is windproof clothes, pants, bags, hiking poles, shoes, gloves, everything is included. The staff are friendly and will help you tie your shoelaces😳 During the hike, they also take good care of everyone. , although some people took pictures while walking, they still took the trouble to persuade me not to be angry. The two wishes of helicopter and glacier hiking were fulfilled for four hours at a time. It is definitely one of the best memories in New Zealand. Thank you Klook. The trip we took on December 1st won’t be too cold, so we only needed to wear a long-sleeved T-shirt and the windproof jacket they provided to keep us warm enough.
we were so lucky that the weather was on our side and we managed to go up to the glaciers after hearing that they failed to go all 3 days before us and even the slot before us couldn't go up. (no worries it would be fully refunded if you don't go up). went in December and thought it would be very cold up there but actually it's not that cold, provided necessities and jackets/boots. very helpful guides, made the whole experience magical! would love to go back again if there's a chance!!
Once in a lifetime experience in New Zealand. Been to Franz-Josef too, different feelings and experience after these years. Overall, the tour guides were nice and catered guests’ request. The facility is easy to find with parking. Equipment is well provided. And finally, the weather made this happen.
The helicopter ride was so fun and amazing. You get to see wonderful scenary at bird's eye view. Our guide IVEN ensure our safety is taken care off at the glacier and he brought us to see beautiful glacier and hike along icy caves. The whole experience is so fun and splendid. Highly recommended.
we were brought into a different world upon the heli landing and a brand new experience at the ice glacier. it was a memorable experience to witness the history of the ice glacier up-close. An unforgettable experience!
Loved the experience, seamless service provided by the team! It was superb and the guide shared a lot with us during the ice glacier hike! We are also given sufficient time to take pictures and it was not tiring at all!
If you go to the South Island of New Zealand, it is recommended that you arrange a Fox Glacier hiking trip! You can appreciate the beauty of the glacier up close and spend plenty of time on the ice. It's not just about watching the flowers, but also listening to the staff's detailed introduction to the formation and evolution of the glacier, which is both entertaining and informative. The equipment section is also very complete. Basically, you just need to wear your own warm clothes and protect yourself from the sun. The waterproof jackets, waterproof pants, wool socks, leather boots, and crampons provided by the store are also well maintained, so you don't have to worry about public items. Neatness. What needs to be noted is that because we need to take a helicopter, this trip is more likely to be affected by weather factors. For example, it rained heavily at the time we originally planned, and all trips on that day were canceled. Fortunately, we stayed there for an extra day, so we directly asked the receptionist to help us. The reservation was moved to the next day, and the weather improved and we set off smoothly the next day.
