Toji Garden Kumanogawa-yu TOJI Retreat (Wakayama)

Kawayu Onsen, located near the pilgrimage routes of Kumano Kodo. We propose a new form of "TOJI" (hot spring cure) that merges ancient Japanese wisdom with modern technology. "TOJI no Niwa Kumanokawayu" is a "TOJI retreat" where the power of hot springs, mist, minerals, and the nature of Kumano helps to restore the mind and body to their original state. Your experience begins with "unwinding" from the burdens of daily life.

• Relax your mind and body First, you will surrender yourself to the soft spring waters of Kawayu Onsen and slowly warm your body. The warm water gently loosens muscles and minds stiffened by daily life.
• Incorporate minerals After your body is warmed, move on to a “mist bath” using craft spring water. You will bathe in a mist rich in over 30 types of minerals, in a room maintained at around 40 degrees Celsius. By promoting an increase in core body temperature, it stimulates the body’s self-regulating power.
• Drift in nature In the “Ukuyu” (floating bath) experience in the outdoor bath, you can feel the mountains and wind of Kumano while enjoying a moment of liberation from gravity. Additionally, by combining this with “insen” (drinking spring water), you can regulate your body from both inside and out.
