Kumiko Craft Workshop - Make Your Own Traditional Wooden Coaster

Create your own wooden coaster using Kumiko, a traditional Japanese woodworking technique that joins small pieces of wood without using nails.

Using a prepared kit, you will experience the full process with support from our staff, from assembling the pieces to gluing and finishing the surface with sandpaper. Along the way, you will also learn about the history of Kumiko and the meanings behind its geometric patterns.

In our space, you can also see authentic Kumiko works crafted by skilled artisans, offering a deeper appreciation of the craftsmanship after creating your own. Your finished coaster can be taken home as a unique and personal souvenir.
