What to expect
This 1 hour 45 minute Course departs from JR or Kintetsu Nara Station, including a 45-minute stay at Mt. Wakakusa’s summit before returning. Mt. Wakakusa, on the eastern side of Nara Park, is a 342-meter grassy hill famous for its gentle slopes and freely roaming deer. From the top, enjoy panoramic views of the Great Buddha Hall, Nara Park, and Nara city. You may choose to end the tour at the summit and hike down while enjoying the scenery. A local bus ticket from Todaiji/National Museum Bus Stop back to the station is included. Alternatively, you can get off at Kencho-mae Kofukuji Bus Stop to continue sightseeing around Nara Park.
