“Roppongi Crossing 2025: The Flow of Time, We Are Eternal” is an exhibition that leaves you wanting to pause and digest it afterward. It's not merely an exhibition that's “great for photos” or “packed with information,” but rather one that slowly seeps into your feelings. The entire exhibition revolves around time, memory, existence, and connection. Although the mediums and tones of the different works vary greatly, they naturally converge on a single core idea: how do individuals perceive themselves and connect with others, history, and the world in an ever-flowing era? One aspect I particularly enjoyed about this exhibition is that it doesn't treat “time” as an abstract concept; instead, it makes it very concrete, even tangible. Some works evoke a sense of time accumulating, while others seem to remind us that “eternity” isn't static, but perhaps exists within change, repetition, forgetting, and rediscovery. The exhibition title itself is moving, and the works on display truly uphold this theme, avoiding any sense of emptiness. The curation is also very sophisticated. Ample space is provided between works, allowing visitors to slow down, observe, and reflect, without feeling overwhelmed by information. At the same time, the overall rhythm of the exhibition is well-managed, constantly presenting new perspectives that keep curiosity alive. Some works have a social and realistic dimension, while others are more intimate and poetic; this balance gives the exhibition both intellectual depth and emotional warmth. I especially appreciate that it doesn't rush to provide answers. It's more like an invitation for visitors to enter an open dialogue about time and existence, allowing everyone to find resonance based on their own experiences. After seeing it, you won't just remember one “amazing” piece, but rather the lasting resonance that the entire exhibition creates. If you enjoy contemporary art, or are looking for an exhibition that you can not only “see” but truly feel and contemplate, “Roppongi Crossing 2025: The Flow of Time, We Are Eternal” is highly recommended.

After booking tickets, you can access the 3rd-floor observation deck and the museum's dedicated exit. You can only scan your ticket at your reserved time; early entry is not permitted. The 52nd-floor is the observation deck, and you take an indoor escalator to the 53rd floor for the museum. It's an interesting exhibition, well worth seeing. It's a shame there's no audio guide in Chinese, but it's a rare opportunity to experience the museum at night until 10 PM. On the 52nd floor, there are the Sun and Moon restaurants, with bright and dim lighting respectively. You can see Tokyo Tower from here. If you'd like a drink, you can go to the Moon restaurant; it's pricey, but the atmosphere is excellent.

This exhibition has a lot to see. It's a memorable exhibition, especially with the focus on young artists. About an hour and a half is a good amount of time to look around.

Good thing is that it was open until late. Some of the content was really good and some of it was okay. I would definitely recommend trying the AI game which was available. It allows you to take decisions to mould the life of a fictional person created based on real statistics from Japanese people.

What a great experience! What Passes Is Time. We Are Eternal. was an excellent exhibit and I loved the different takes on time. Just an FYI - I purchased tickets on Klook and arrived 15 minutes early. They asked me to wait until the start time, even though walk-ins were welcome to enter. Not a big deal at all, just expect to time your arrival with your reservation time to avoid a wait.
