its short journey but i think we could enjoy vietnam more,we could see ancient temples, traditonal art and food. The tour guide was also helpful, they are very friendly too. The train is old but the interior is pretty, the are different models of interior
Everything was great! The whole experience of it. But for some who lived in Hanoi for over a decade might find it lacking. It would be better if the destination, the temple, would have more attractions to offer or like around the area. The train itself is the experience with all the aesthetics that came with it; the folk songs, the light snacks and all.
One for the books experience. While the rest of the tourist are waiting for the train, we decided to go on the train itself. An awesome opportunity to run the train tracks, see another town Tu son and wave at the tourists waitng at the train street. Lovely learning that they are sharing with us their untangible cultural heritage with this activity. local refreshmenta arw also served.
The Ha Noi's 5 Gate Heritage Train ride is a unique and charming experience that takes you back in time. The carriage is beautifully designed with a nostalgic, old-world style—wooden interiors, warm lighting, and classic details that create a cozy and elegant atmosphere. The ride itself is smooth and relaxing, offering a different perspective of Hanoi as you pass through both busy streets and quieter neighborhoods..The daytime journey begins at Hanoi Railway station and travel eastward across the legendary Long Bien Bridge, offering stunning view of the Red River. The train then continues through Gia Lam and Yen Vien before reaching Tu Son in Bac Ninh province. There will be a layover at Tu Son to explore the Do temple (Temple of the Ly kings) with free shuttle bus to n fro. What makes it special is the blend of vintage aesthetics with modern comfort. It’s perfect for photos and a memorable way to explore the city beyond the usual tourist spots. Highly recommended.
This was a rare and exceptional experience. Taking the 5 gates train at the end of Tet was amazing. The setting, the customer service team, every element was exceptional. Anouncements in English was an unexpected kindness, it is an authentic Vietnamese experience rather than touristy - which suited us perfectly. for extra impact pair with a Klook food tour that ends on train street and if you took the morning 5 gates train you can get to see the afternoon train’s return if you time it right. One train, two experiences.
Hanoi Heritage Train amazing experience to ride vintage train + Tour which bus arranged. also great train services provided with drink n dessert. superb train live entertainment program. don't miss if visit Hanoi
When I first booked the tickets, I thought it would just be about enjoying the scenery, refreshments, and watching performances on the train! The reality is, from the moment I boarded, my perception of this experience completely changed! The staff were professional and enthusiastic, communicated well in English, and provided detailed explanations. All employees, including the performers, were consistently friendly and smiling, and happily accommodated requests for photos. Midway through, there was also a tour bus transfer, with train staff accompanying us to visit the Lee Temple. On the return journey, the train paused briefly on the bridge, allowing guests to disembark and take photos. Every arrangement was meticulously planned! I will definitely recommend this experience to friends, suggesting they book through Klook!
The tourist train was beautiful, and the staff were very attentive. Each car had a different design, but we couldn't walk between cars. On the outbound journey, special Vietnamese pastries were already waiting on the table, and on the return trip, there was another type of Vietnamese snack and iced tea! There was also a traditional Vietnamese music performance along the way. On the return journey, the train stopped at Long Bien Station for 20 minutes. It's usually impossible to take photos on the railway tracks, let alone at the head of the century-old Long Bien Bridge, which was an incredibly rare and exciting opportunity for us!
Nice experience the train was comfortable however the views were not quite what I expected. There is plenty of rubbish strewn along the lines. Still gland we did this train ride however I think it is more geared towards local people.
This is good for senior citizens, no long walk... A short 4 hours trip was good enough to travel outside city.
