What to expect
Mt. Omuro Lift Mt. Omuro is not only a symbol of the Izu Peninsula but also a designated “National Natural Monument.” This dormant volcano, approximately 580 meters high, is selected as one of the “Eight Views of Ito.” From spring to summer, the grass and trees growing along the mountain are lush and vibrant, giving it the nickname “Matcha Mountain!” The ropeway ride takes about 4 minutes, making it feel as if you could touch the swaying grass. Ascend to the summit, which is about 300 meters in diameter, for a panoramic view of the Izu cityscape and the Jogasaki Coast. Unique shops at both the summit and base offer limited-edition souvenirs! *If the Mt. Omuro Lift is suspended due to strong winds, a partial refund will be provided, and the itinerary will be changed to Mt. Komuro and other nearby facilities.
Jogasaki Coast Located on the Izu Peninsula, the Jogasaki Coast is a volcanic rock coastline formed by the lava flow from the eruption of Mt. Omuro 4,000 years ago into the Pacific Ocean. Here, in addition to the magnificent Pacific Ocean, you can enjoy the forest scenery and the unique sea suspension bridge, “Kadowaki Suspension Bridge.” Every visitor will walk across it with excitement, making it both thrilling and unique!
Hakone Shrine Hakone Shrine has a history of over 1200 years and is one of the leading shrines in the Kanto region for good fortune. Famous ancient military commanders such as Minamoto no Yoritomo and Tokugawa Ieyasu visited this place before going to war. In addition, a must-see when visiting Hakone Shrine is the huge torii gate in Lake Ashi, which is very popular among foreigners. Many Japanese people also come to take photos here when visiting Hakone, so don’t miss it! *The torii gate in the lake is a very popular photo spot, so there is a possibility that you may not be able to take photos depending on the itinerary. Thank you for your understanding.
