What to expect
- In the morning, we will start from downtown Suzhou and visit Zhouzhuang Ancient Town. This ancient town, known as “China’s No. 1 Water Town”, has attracted countless tourists with its simple and elegant style and profound cultural heritage. Walking on the stone slabs of the ancient town, you can appreciate the white-walled and black-tiled houses and feel the Jiangnan style of small bridges and flowing water. The waterways in the ancient town are crisscrossed. You will take a black-sailed boat to visit the water lanes of Zhouzhuang, shuttle through the narrow waterways, appreciate the ancient buildings and tranquil water on both sides, and feel the unique charm of the water town style. In the afternoon, we will go to Tongli Ancient Town. Compared with Zhouzhuang, Tongli Ancient Town is also full of water town characteristics, but it also has its own unique charm. There are many Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings and water town bridges in the ancient town. Every building and every bridge carries the history and culture of the ancient town. Tourists can visit famous attractions such as Retreat and Reflection Garden and Chongben Hall to experience the historical heritage of the ancient town. After a wonderful day trip, the special car will take you back to downtown Suzhou.
