Wai-O-Tapu & Polynesian Spa Rotorua Tour

It's a pleasure to embark on this intensely relaxing journey on such a clear day. Besides marveling at the natural wonders created by volcanoes and geothermal activity, the forest hike interspersed with bathing in the woods, and the picturesque hot springs and lake views at the end, truly wash away the physical and mental fatigue brought on by the long journey.

Went for a Waiotapu & Polynesian Spa at Rotorua tour from Auckland with Jamie as the tour guide. Although the journey was far, the destinations were wonderful. Time allocated for both places were adequate to enjoy. Water and snack was also provided which was great. There were also stops for toilet and coffee. For the spa, we were on deluxe spa

Meeting at the Sky Tower before 6 AM. Arrived almost on time, but I had to keep confirming the meeting time with the guide because I couldn't understand the English very well. Wai-O-Tapu's geysers and bubbling mud pools are quite far apart, so I think it would be difficult to go there on your own. The green hot tub and champagne pool were a strange sight. I was able to walk around it in about an hour. The Polynesian Spa wasn't crowded and I was able to relax while enjoying the beautiful scenery, which was great. People from various countries such as Germany, India, America, and Japan participated.

Punctual pickup, the experience at Wai-O-Tapu and the Polynesian Spa was great as expected. Lively commentary from the tour guide and through on the expensive side quite worth the trip.

Everyone's location combinations were a bit different, but the tour guide's time management was acceptable. Wai-O-Tapu felt a bit rushed. For future tours, I suggest considering separate tours, at least splitting Wai-O-Tapu and Te Puia, so it doesn't feel so hurried. The pick-up service and overall service were excellent! 👌

The Wai-O-Tapu is worth to visit, but the travelling time from Auckland Central is a little bit long (3 1/2 hour one way). The driver/guide stopped on the midway for a refreshment.

We were able to tour the main areas of Rotorua comfortably and enjoyably. Our local guide, John, helped us tour comfortably and gave us a lot of information. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to experience Rotorua and Wai-O-Tapu Polynesian Spa.
