Multiday Shared Tour to Mount Bromo & Ijen from Surabaya or Malang

Thank you Ruly, Putro, and our Ijen guide Eddie for taking such good care of me! This 2D1N trip is highly recommended and perfect for anyone who wants to visit both volcanoes in the minimum amount of time. We had 7 people in our group, so the car wasn't too crowded and the ride was comfortable. Day 1 (Bromo): We didn't have an official guide on this day. The jeep driver simply dropped us off without sharing any details like where to go, what to do, or what time to head back to the jeep. Fortunately, Ruly kept in touch with me via messaging and successfully guided me to the viewpoint, so I didn't experience any trouble. We stayed at the DreamLand Hotel, which was clean, decent, and exactly as pictured. Day 2 (Ijen): The hike is exhausting for those who don't exercise or hike regularly. It's very steep at the beginning up to the volcano rim, and equally steep going down to the crater to see the blue flame. The path is narrow and crowded, so you must be extremely careful. Our guide, Eddie, was fantastic—he showed us an easier path to see the blue flame and personally helped me through the difficult, rocky sections. After the tour, they dropped me off at the port, and Putro kindly helped us with the ferry tickets. there are some extra on-site costs: health certificate IDR100K, drop off to Ketapang Harbor IDR650K, single room surcharge IDR375K (highly recommended for solo female travellers as they don't necessarily arrange same gender roommates for shared options), gear rental e.g walking stick IDR50K each

This trip was beyond imagination, even though I didn't see the blue flame on the day I went. The vehicle was comfortable with ample legroom, and Mr. Rudi was a gentleman and punctual. If you like swimming, the hotel has a pool. Also, when we departed at 11:00 PM, the hotel packed the rice that we didn't redeem the coupon for in time, and Ms. Judi brought it to the car. It was very impressive. I encourage everyone to try this experience once in their life. Watching the sunrise at Mount Bromo is not difficult, but at Ijen, the path is quite steep for a long distance. I recommend being in reasonably good physical condition.

. It was a wonderful journey. My review for the driver, Pak Agus, is that he is so nice and always smiles. I had a good experience at Tumpak Sewu, Mount Bromo, and Kawah Ijen. Hopefully, I can come back to Surabaya and perhaps book with Klook again.

Traveling alone, I felt secure with the driver, Agus, who took great care of me. However, there was a bit of a language barrier, and we relied on translation software. I had initially expected a Chinese-speaking guide, but surprisingly, no one spoke Chinese throughout the entire trip. So, if you have specific language needs, it's best to clarify beforehand via email (even though it was mentioned there would be a Chinese guide, there wasn't one). Despite that, the scenery along the way was truly breathtaking. Also, there's a section on Mount Bromo where you can ride horses, but the horses didn't appear to be well-cared for. There was no water or food visible, and the ponies looked very tired, with muzzles that seemed painful (they were foaming at the mouth). I would advise against paying to ride these animals. As for climbing Mount Ijen, you'll need a certain level of physical fitness and proper equipment. Wearing safe and comfortable clothing will greatly benefit you throughout the journey.

First of all, I would like to thank Ayyub, the pick-up driver, for his kind and safe driving, which left a lasting impression. I was amazed to be picked up from Surabaya early in the morning and experience Mount Bromo and Madakaripura Waterfall in one day. It was a great experience to feel the wonders of nature. People who don't usually exercise may have difficulty climbing to the top of the mountain, so it's best to come prepared. The mountaintop is colder than you think in the early morning. Long-sleeved tops/bottoms and a light padded jacket that can block the wind seem appropriate. You will definitely get wet at Madakaripura, so it's best to bring extra clothes and sandals. This experience has made me want to visit other volcanoes, waterfalls, and the sea. I am looking forward to my next trip.

The experience of this trip was really great. The time nodes and hotel arrangements were relatively appropriate. I am especially grateful to the travel agency staff for helping me adjust the driver's arrangements in time according to my itinerary. At first, I booked a flight for 14:10 the next day, but because I found that the time from Ijen Volcano to Surabaya Airport was a bit insufficient, I told the travel agency that I would not go to Ijen Volcano. A separate car was arranged for me to take me to Surabaya. After I got on the car, the airline sent a notice of delay. I told the travel agency that I could go to Ijen Volcano. The driver communicated with the travel agency very patiently and still sent me to Ijen Volcano. I also caught the plane after the end of the next day. Every staff member was very nice, not to mention the scenery. It was an unforgettable journey!

I applied alone, so it was quite expensive, but I think it was a really good choice with no regrets. Since you will be picked up early at 11:30pm, go to bed early the day before and take care of your condition. It takes about 3-4 hours to go to Bromo, but the view of Bromo is unbelievable. Oh, it is cold until sunrise, so make sure to bring long clothes. It is cold even with a tank top. ㅠㅠ You watch the sunrise and the view from outside Bromo, and then go inside Bromo. It is a tour that is divided into 3 steps, but it was really fun... The second time, I went inside what I saw the first time, and I saw a crater with sulfur gas coming out, and the ground where the lava hardened made me feel like I was on Mars. ㅠㅠ It was really a landscape that I could not miss. The third time, I applied for a waterfall, and I went, and seriously... You must go to the waterfall. And bring a raincoat, flip-flops, or something you can wear in the water. The waterfall is really grand, and the water stream is really refreshing. Please, please, make sure to go to the waterfall. ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

this was such a great experience. totally recommend it! the driver will pick you up right at the hotel. the agency was nice enough to ask me if I’d like to reschedule as the weather wasn’t the best on the night I wanted the tour initially. rly appreciated that from them! the view to spot the sunrise was mesmerising, I was in love! the hike to bromo was great too. and seeing the crater was something new to me. but sadly litters were everywhere. the highlight of this tour is of course the waterfall. I had so much fun!!! it’s quite challenging to get to the main waterfall but it’s worth it. all in all, the drivers and the guides were all helpful too. English speaking as well if you’re wondering.

It was an unforgettable trip to Mount Bromo and Mount Ijen – truly a memorable experience! Although the journey was physically tiring at times, the stunning views made everything totally worth it. I would also like to give a special compliment to my driver, Putro. He really took good care of me throughout the trip, always making sure I was comfortable and everything went smoothly. His friendly and professional attitude made the journey even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this trip to anyone who appreciates nature and scenic adventures – and if you can, do request for Putro as your driver!

During the process of planning a solo trip, I wanted to visit BROMO, TUMPAK SEWU, and IJEN, and thanks to my guide teacher RULY, I was able to travel comfortably and enjoyably. She made me comfortable throughout the trip and made the whole journey happy. Also, I was able to get a lot of information about traveling in Indonesia, and I learned a lot of things that I didn't know when planning a trip. Thanks to the tour, I made a close friend RULY, and I will use her again when I visit Indonesia next time, and I want to recommend her to others!
