What to expect
A very popular tour that visits 4 standard sightseeing spots on Shodoshima Island in one day by island-hopping sightseeing bus! There are plenty of photo-worthy spots♪ Since it departs from and arrives at Tonosho Port, day trips from Takamatsu and Okayama are also possible. It’s recommended for first-time visitors to Shodoshima as it comes with a guide! ※Audio guide available on smartphone app (Japanese, English, Chinese)
[Shodoshima Daikannon] (40 minutes) Greet the Daikannon statue, which has won awards as the most beautiful and gentle Kannon in the world.
[Kankakei Gorge] (Lunch on your own) (60 minutes) One of Japan’s three great gorges located within Setonaikai National Park. The ropeway connecting the summit and the foot of the mountain is popular as it is the only place in Japan where you can view “sky, sea, and gorge” all at once. We will take you to the summit of Kankakei by bus, after which you can enjoy sightseeing and lunch on your own. [Kankakei Ropeway] This is a one-way trip from the summit to the foot of the mountain (Kountei Station). *The one-way fare is included in the set price. Our bus will pick you up at the foot of the mountain (Kountei Station). [Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village] (60 minutes) The open set used for filming when the movie was made in 1987 is utilized, and stepping inside spreads out a world of the Showa era. Deep within the village is the [Misaki no Bunkoujo] (Branch School at the Cape) used for filming, and the Seto Inland Sea viewed from there is calm and spreads out across the classroom windows. [Tsukudani-dokoro “Ittoku-an”] (20 minutes) Stop by a shop selling soy sauce and tsukudani, specialties of Shodoshima. [Olive Park] (30 minutes) Olive groves, herb gardens, a Greek windmill, and the Seto Inland Sea spreading out below create a Mediterranean-like landscape. You can borrow a magic broom at the Olive Memorial Hall, so please take some wonderful photos♪

Reviews
There aren't many reviews, so I'll write this down in case there are people who are hesitant to buy. I'm writing this based on a person's Japanese. I think most people will take a ferry from Takamatsu Port. If you take the 9 am ferry and go to Doshono Port, you will arrive around 10 am. When you arrive, the building on the left is the tourist center. You can show your voucher at the ticket booth at the back of the tourist center (opposite the port) and exchange it for a seat and admission ticket. After exchanging, there is a bus right behind it. If you take that bus, the tour will begin. The guide will show you caution signs in Korean, so you don't have to be afraid of the monkeys. Here is the course description. 1. Monkey Village Shodoshima has a place called Monkey Country. Go up with people. If a monkey strays, don't fight first. You can experience feeding them for 100 yen at the top. It may be uncomfortable to have to pass between the monkeys, but they really don't fight. For people, 2. Ropeway Stop at a place where you can ride the ropeway at Kankakei and have lunch and ride the ropeway (optional, 1,300 yen). If you don't ride the ropeway, Those who board at 12:40 will get off the ropeway at 12:56. 3. 24 Eyes Movie Village 4. Ichitoku-an You can buy soy sauce and other seasonings at (a common shopping course for tourist courses) 5. Olive Park You can get off in front of the bus at the filming location of the live-action version of Kiki's Delivery Service and rent a broom at the building in front of Maro. Rent it and take a picture at the windmill. This is an overall review. A very friendly guide will guide you. In Japanese.. The introduction to history and attractions is the main part, and you can download a Korean language support app at the ticket booth. It doesn't mean much if you don't listen. Just clap along so that you don't feel embarrassed. Since it's a bus tour, I'm very satisfied except for the limited time. When leaving Olive Park, they gave me an Olive Park postcard as a gift. It was a very satisfactory schedule. I recommend it. Maybe other sites go to Angel Road. Buy according to your taste.
Our ferry to the island got delayed due to fog. When we arrived, there was a small bus waiting for us for those who missed the meeting time. They then transported us to the monkey village where we met the tour group. It was well organized, we didn’t have to explain. Just make sure you put a note on where you will be a day before the tour so they know. The driver and the tour guide were very courteous and took good care of us. I would highly recommend this day tour.
It was convenient even though I can't speak Japanese. It's great that I can travel around Shodoshima comfortably. I went in cold weather, but I was able to travel warmly in a private car. The guide was also kind, so I had a more enjoyable trip!
Even though the tour guide doesn't speak Mandarin/Cantonese, he still tried his best to explain and help. The itinerary time is well arranged, giving fellow travelers a good experience.
Visitors who come by ferry from Okayama should go to the sightseeing center on the left after getting off the ferry. They must first go to the service desk to redeem their tickets. There are lockers here to store luggage.
Very pleasant tour. Although I don't understand Japanese, I feel the attentiveness of the tour guide, and he clearly informed the location and meeting time of each stop. The driver was also very attentive. Every time he got on the bus, he would help everyone get on the bus and disinfect their hands. The service gave a very good feeling. My scarf accidentally fell on the car. I didn't expect the tour guide to know which yacht we were on and quickly handed it to me before boarding. Thank you very much
JRPASS can take the Shodoshima ferry to Tonosho for free. After arriving at the port, you can exchange the tourist bus ticket. You will be given a tourist brochure and identification card in three languages: Chinese, English and Japanese. The tour guide was very responsible and explained from beginning to end. It’s a pity that I couldn’t understand Japanese only, haha~ The time arrangement of the attractions is quite appropriate, and it is very leisurely to visit without being too rushed or too long.
The inevitable choice! The Japanese tour leader was attentive and conscientious and even sang a song, making us feel right at home!
Bought online for $1886, actual price on site is ¥6800 ($1508). There is a big price difference. Will there be compensation for the difference?
