Very convenient - popped in right before closing and left with my stuff in less than ten mins. Had many boards to choose from (possibly because it was already spring?). Managed to chat on WhatsApp and everything was handled very well and professionally.
The store didn't know that the set included a helmet. Although it was in stock, it was only in M size, which wasn't suitable for most of us, so the store offered not to provide a helmet but to upgrade the ski equipment for free. We also rented snowsuits, but they were of a single and worn style and are not recommended.
Rented skis here and they were all quite new! Located easily in the central part of Hakuba. Booked a ski lesson from them as well so decided to book their gear. Easy to redeem, folks there were professional and helped us to fit everything well given it was our first ski trip. Even managed to arrange for transport from the shop to the ski lesson after, making it really easy for us.

The clerk communicated in English, the ski equipment was considered new and clean, and he helped to organize it carefully and packed the shoes in eco-friendly bags! You need to pay a deposit of 20,000 yen. You cannot rent the helmet on the spot on the same day, and the equipment must be returned before 5 o'clock.
