Absolutely book this tour!! I had never heard of Klook before taking this trip, but I found this tour and it was the first thing I booked after buying my airplane tickets. And it was totally worth it. I booked this tour as I have a deep interest in Japanese Colonial history in Taiwan, which this tour covered but it was so much more. The itinerary was spot on, but what made this tour so great was our tour guide. He was so knowledgeable, and clear in his explanations. He was so happy when we asked questions, and was so excited to see us enjoying the trip. He knew all the secrets of the places we visited, and even knew the "secret" paths around Jiufen Old Street. He really made this tour sometime special, so if you are interested in the itinerary, I would highly recommend booking this tour. 10/10
This tour was the most fun I had during my trip to Taiwan. My tour guide Tony was so knowledgeable and answered any question I had. I booked a group tour but it ended up just me booking for that date! Tony went at my pace, pointed out things I definitely would have missed on my own, and gave me all his best recommendations for Old Jiufen St. He looked out for my safety, my well-being by reminding me to hydrate, and volunteered to be my personal photographer whenever I wanted a picture. The Gold Museum was so interesting and I could have spent hours at Old Jiufen St. I couldn't have asked for a better afternoon/evening!
Had to climb a lot of stairs since it doesn't allow private buses to go up the gold museum during the lunar holildays.
Good to know
- Infants aged 0-1 year old do not have a car seat and must sit on an adult's lap when riding the bus; children aged 2 years and older are subject to child prices and include a car seat.
