Our July trip to Ottawa almost started with a disaster after a sudden booking cancellation at reStays, but ending up at The Metcalfe Hotel was a massive upgrade. My friend Cafer and I needed a place quickly, and the front desk staff were incredibly accommodating and got us sorted immediately. The hotel's design and attention to detail are top-notch—you can really tell they care about the guest experience. The five-story atrium lobby and the loft-inspired rooms have a fantastic, moody atmosphere that feels like a massive step up from a standard corporate hotel. The room was spotless, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and having a proper espresso maker in the room was a huge plus for our mornings. We also grabbed some great coffee downstairs at the Cocotte Bistro. Logistics were very straightforward. The hotel is right in the heart of downtown, making it an easy walk to Parliament Hill and the Rideau Canal. While they do offer valet, we opted for the nearby municipal parking, which was easy to navigate and had plenty of room for my Jeep Cherokee. If you appreciate a boutique hotel with thoughtful design and exceptional service, I highly recommend this place.

Just an amazing experience all around. 12/10 experience. Will be staying here every time we visit Ottawa. First time here and will be returning for life.

Excellent facilites and staff. In the neuralgic center of Ottawa, highly recommended

The staff were excellent and the property impeccably clean.

Cute hotel, nice front desk people. Easy few minutes walking to the parliament hill. We parked the car at the city hall underground garage, the parking space is ok for our SUV. Easy few minutes walk to the hotel from parking lot.

We had a great stay at the Metcalfe Hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and soft with really nice linens and comforter. The feathered pillows were not comfortable and didn't smell great. I would bring my own pillow the next time. I was also VERY disappointed that the website pictures show a pool which was the main reason I booked here. They DO NOT have a pool which is false advertising and misleading. They MUST update their website pictures...! Having said that overall this was a really nice place to stay and the location is great for all the sites, restaurants, coffee shops and transit.

Good! It's a fi

Great service from checking to check out. Love the hotel, will stay again.

Great hotel, great location

I just have to share my experience at the Metcalfe Hotel in Ottawa it was fantastic! I’ve stayed at many high-end hotels, but this one truly stands out. From the moment we arrived, the valet guy was incredibly welcoming and made the check-in process smooth and easy. When we got to the reception, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite. The room was stunning spacious, well decorated, and impeccably clean. They really pay attention to detail, which made our stay even better. And let me tell you, the bed was incredibly comfortable! I had some of the best sleep I’ve had in a hotel. One thing I found impressive was their commitment to cleanliness. I noticed that they change all the blankets for each guest, which you don’t always see, even in luxury hotels. It really made me feel valued and comfortable. And let’s talk about the bathroom—having Le Labo products, especially Santal 33, was such a nice touch! The scent fills the hotel, creating a luxurious and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Oh, and if you’re a pet owner like me, you’ll appreciate that they’re pet-friendly!. They also offered a voucher for their restaurant, Cocotte Bistro, which was a lovely bonus. Overall, I had an amazing time at the Metcalfe Hotel. I’m definitely looking forward to returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ottawa!
