Our stay at Grand Residence Hotel was overall a pleasant experience. The only issue we encountered was during check-in—we weren’t able to receive the access code ahead of time and had to reach out to Klook support for assistance. It took a bit of effort, but it was eventually resolved. Aside from that, everything else went smoothly. The location is very convenient, just one station away from Hakata and about a 5-minute walk from the nearest station, which made getting around really easy. The room itself was clean and surprisingly spacious, comfortably accommodating three people. We also appreciated the layout, especially the separation between the comfort room and the bedroom area, which added a bit more privacy and functionality. Overall, despite the initial check-in hiccup, we had a good stay and would still recommend this hotel for its location, cleanliness, and room comfort.

The check-in process was really stressful. There was only a tablet for self check-in that required an access code, which was supposed to be emailed by Klook two days before our stay—but I never received any. On the day of check-in, I panicked because there was no way to enter, and Klook support didn’t help at all; agents just kept passing me to others without solving the issue. Thankfully, there was a note on the tablet with an email address for assistance, so I reached out that way. It was such a hassle since we were exhausted from traveling and had to wait an hour in the cold before getting the code. Once inside though, the room was great—very clean, spacious, and complete with amenities. No complaints about the room itself, just the check-in process that needs improvement. Location is very convenient too, close to the subway and convenience stores. Tip: contact Klook ahead to confirm your access code.

When you get in Hakata station you can either walk from Haka station to the hotel or board the train to Higashie-Hie Station, from there, exit Higashie-Hie Station and walk around 5 mins from the hotel. It is also near family mart. There’s also a maxvalu express grocery store. Just cross the road infront of the hotel when going there. The hotel room is spacious and clean. Even the toilet and the shower area is clean too. There’s also a bottle of shampoo, conditioner, & body wash you can use. There’s a washing machine and a tiny sachet of soap on top of the washing machine for laundry. There’s also a balcony where you can hang laundry, eat or just appreciate the view of the city.
