Japanese-style No Smoking River side (River View) · 2 Adults · 1 Nights

For a town with what felt like limited accommodation options the Kamenoi Hotel was a good choice, big hotel with plenty of rooms and parking in an easy location. As a western tourist I would say this is more geered towards local Japanese tourists but we were made to feel very welcome and the staff were extremely helpful when we asked to change to a room with a bathroom in. It was my fault for booking a Japanese style room but didn't realise it wouldn't have its own bathroom. Meal options were extensive and the half board tariff was a good deal but as vegans there were no suitable food options for us so we had to decline the dinner. Breakfast buffet was good. Room we eventually got was clean and adequately equipped and we had a good night sleep even on the small double bed. Overall a good accommodation option for a one night stop over during our road trip, but not necessarily ideal for western tourists with different expectations. Just be aware what you are booking.
