Independence Palace tours

We visited the Independence Palace and War Remnants Museum with our guide Kevin. Both are fascinating and, in our view, must-sees in Ho Chi Minh City. The Independence Palace offers a fascinating insight into the Vietnam War, with its historic meeting and banquet rooms, communications rooms and underground bunker, as well as great views over the city. The War Remnants Museum, just a short walk away, is extremely powerful and visual, showing the devastating effects of war and the suffering and resistance of the Vietnamese people. Kevin was knowledgeable and flexible, allowing us time for drinks and snacks, which made the tour work very well even with a young child. Highly recommended.

Thanks to Ana's careful guidance, I had a very fulfilling day. As someone working in architecture, learning in detail about the local architecture, history, and culture was an incredible learning experience. Ana patiently answered every single one of my questions, allowing me to view architecture from various perspectives, which made for a very meaningful time. Furthermore, the transportation and sightseeing at each location went smoothly, allowing me to enjoy the tour with peace of mind. Overall, I am extremely satisfied. I hope to apply what I learned from Ana today to my future architectural work even after returning to Japan. Ana made this a truly memorable day for me. We had a wonderful morning exploring Ho Chi Minh City with our guide, Penny. She was warm, knowledgeable, and made the tour both enjoyable and informative. We visited the Saigon Central Post Office, Independence Palace, and the War Remnants Museum. Penny shared fascinating insights into the history and culture of each site, making the experience even more meaningful. Unfortunately, the Notre Dame Cathedral was closed for renovations, but Penny ensured we still made the most of our visit to the area. The tour was well organised from start to finish. Our driver was punctual, friendly, and professional, and the private vehicle was clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned, making it easy to relax between stops. This was a fantastic introduction to Ho Chi Minh City, and we highly recommend this Klook tour. If you're lucky enough to have Penny as your guide, you're in for a memorable and enjoyable experience!

One of the best tours to truly understand and appreciate Vietnam and how it has become what it is today. It took a long time for Vietnam to get to where it is now, and this tour provides valuable insight into that journey. The war remnants was heart-wrenching, and I couldn't finish looking through all the photos because they were incredibly heavy and heartbreaking. Despite the emotional experience, we had an amazing time during the tour. Be sure to bring cooling spray, water, and a fan to help you survive the Ho Chi Minh heat! A special thank you to our tour guide Cyta, who made this tour even more enjoyable. she was kind, knowledgeable, and shared so many stories about Vietnam's past, which made the experience much more meaningful. We really appreciate this type of tour arrangement compared to traditional travel agency tours. It allowed us to explore at our own pace while immersing ourselves in the local culture and daily life. It felt more personal, authentic, and enjoyable overall.

I was on a Japanese tour by myself. My guide was a woman named Tao. She picked me up at the hotel lobby, and when I asked to take photos at famous spots and send postcards from the post office, she taught me how to buy and send them, and even communicated with the staff for me. While I was writing the postcards, she adjusted my Ao Dai and took pictures. She also took me to a section of Ben Thanh Market where you can't negotiate prices, and I was able to get four T-shirts at a great deal! I love Vietnam T-shirts for 99,000 VND! They're cheap even without negotiating! The only downside was that they didn't have any 333 beer T-shirts! We walked to our destinations and only took a car twice. On the way back, I changed at the hotel and returned the Ao Dai. Since I barely understand English, I'm glad I chose the Japanese tour! She also talked about history, and I was completely satisfied with the entire three hours!
