Things to do in Taitung

I specifically took the train to Taitung, but then arranged to drive around Taitung, and by the time I arrived in Chishang, I was questioning my decision! However, I'm so glad I included this experience; it was incredibly beautiful, fun, and a relaxing way to enjoy the scenery ❤️ You absolutely must visit Chishang! Highly, highly recommended. Being so close to both the Central Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range was truly wonderful 👍

Jiaming Lake has always been on my life's must-do list. This time, I was fortunate to join the "Mountain Forest Secret Realm" tour, where leader Cheng-Feng guided us daily through challenging terrain to each scenic spot. Everyone got along well, and with the beautiful scenery and laughter, it was truly a worthwhile trip. Highly recommended.

This was a fantastic and very tourist-friendly way to experience Taitung for those of us who didn't want to drive and weren't familiar with the area! Our driver was polite, humorous, and very knowledgeable about all the attractions, introducing them and telling us stories along the way! The photos we took are wonderful souvenirs. The only thing is that as Taipei residents, we were truly moved by Taitung's unique blue skies, but also a bit dizzy from the intense Taitung sun. Our clothes never really dried, but thankfully the car was very cool, allowing us to rest between each stop before continuing our adventure. It was super great!

Location: Near the Chaikou Snorkeling Area on the north side of Green Island. Equipment: Masks, snorkels, wetsuits, and booties are fully provided; you only need to wear your swim trunks or swimsuit. Instructors: The instructors are enthusiastic, attentive, and provide clear guidance, allowing even first-time snorkelers to gradually feel comfortable and confident. When we left, the children forgot their glasses, and the instructor even went out of their way to deliver them to the fishing port. Safety: Certified professional instructors accompany you the entire time. Experience: The coastal scenery of Green Island is magnificent, and the underwater world is rich and colorful. Having professional instructors from Shuishingjia to guide you allows for a safe and reassuring experience. The instructors also take professional photos and videos on the side to capture and record wonderful memories.

The snorkeling instructor was very professional and went over important safety tips before we got into the water. Having tried diving and snorkeling elsewhere before, I was amazed by the sheer number of fish I saw this time—a pleasant surprise! The instructor warned us to be careful not to get bitten by the fish. Because this is a conservation area, the fish aren't afraid of humans and are particularly abundant. I highly recommend snorkeling here; I was very satisfied with the experience, thumbs up! Non-swimmers don't need to be afraid either—I can't swim myself! The nighttime activity was deer spotting, but unfortunately, we didn't see any that day (the guide said it's all about luck). Memorable highlights included the Guanyin statue and the introduction to the golden toad, etc. The guide even caught a toad with a "full face of makeup" to introduce to us, and it looked a little cute.

Price: Very affordable Klook Booking Convenience: We scanned the QR code and entered right away Service: The travel center staff were very helpful, and there is a nursing room available Facilities: There are places to sit and rest, and the restrooms are clean Experience: I was disappointed that I ran out of energy while walking and trekking; I need to work out harder

A small hot spring park discovered during a trip to Taitung. Although not big, it is very exquisite, and you can see that the management takes good care of it. The scenery is beautiful, and soaking when it's not crowded is very comfortable! The massage is a bit pricey, but it's also great 👍

location: the place location is very nice.. having a open air hot spring is wonderful.. especially this is the only salt water hot spring in taiwan..

You can easily spend an entire afternoon here, starting with lunch to experience Bunun culture. I highly recommend choosing the lunch package; the food is delicious and plentiful. Afterward, we watched a Bunun cultural performance and tried archery, leather carving, and postcard writing! It's truly a worthwhile itinerary.
