It was a really busy working day. I started looking for a job as soon as I arrived. However, I could only book two jobs and then the next one after they were completed. Therefore, I could not choose some jobs because they overlapped with my schedule. But I used my time very productively and did 7 jobs! The happiest thing is of course making chocolate and soft serve snowflakes, which can be eaten immediately after making. 😋There is also a bank account where you can open an account and deposit money. There are also bank cards. The children deposited the money as soon as they received it, and then took it out again because the things in the store were too expensive and you couldn’t buy anything with just one visit, so you took out the money as a souvenir.
KidZania is a lot of fun; the children got to experience many different professions. Wait times: It's usually more crowded during the summer.
My kids had a blast at KidZania Tokyo last time, and this time at Koshien, we didn't participate in the English Program but still had no communication issues. Although we couldn't get into the chocolate making, we were fortunate to join the long-awaited sushi making experience, which was incredibly satisfying! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
My children loved role-playing as firefighters, bakers, and train operators in a realistic, 2/3-scale city. With about 100 activities, they earned “KidZos” currency, which they spent at shops or saved in the mini-bank. The English Wednesday program made it accessible, with staff offering clear instructions. Located in LaLaport Koshien, it’s a 35-minute train ride from Osaka. Though crowded, the organized setup and engaging activities kept my kids thrilled for hours.
Our girls had a great experience and I highly recommend this! There was so much available in English and they even did some only in Japanese to improve their learning. The staff are so friendly and helpful! I do recommend downloading the app prior to your visit for a smoother experience but they also provide free WiFi there. We loved it and will go back next time we visit Japan!
Children enjoy playing time very much. They can play about five professions this time. Pay attention to the reservation conditions. For example: the time is 5 o'clock, but you have made a reservation to play as a pilot at 6 o'clock. No other reservations are allowed after that, but you can find one The job is completed between 5:00-6:00, and until the pilot program is completed, another appointment can be scheduled. However, the job takes about 30 to 40 minutes, so arrange your favorite project performance as early as possible, otherwise it will be a waste of time.
This is a very popular place for kids! Even though my son doesn't understand Japanese, he had a great time. Once you're inside, if you want to be an ice cream shop worker or a sushi chef, make sure to book your spot as soon as possible because they fill up very quickly. You can only book a maximum of two activities at a time, so plan carefully to experience more professions.
When planning the trip, I decided to go to Koshien KidZania. That is, by purchasing tickets in advance, you can be fully prepared. When you arrive, just show the QR code on your phone to enter. If you go to the venue and buy it, you probably won’t be able to buy an admission ticket. Children love to play roles. However, in terms of time, it is difficult to reserve each game. Every time you reserve a game, you have to wait 30 minutes or more, and you cannot reserve a second one at the same time. It must be completed before you can make an appointment for the next one. I had to choose what I wanted to play the most. There was not enough time to play, and 6 hours passed quickly. Happy, see you next time.
We went on a day where there were several school groups of elementary school children, so it was very crowded and chaotic. As we arrived before 10am, we were also told to walk a big round behind Lalaport for entry to Kidzania. 9am to 3pm is really quite limited time for first timers, but we managed to reserve some activities for our daughter to do. Baby room and toddler area was quite small compared to the Kidzania in KL. There’ll be signs to indicate if the activity was avail for English Wednesdays, so can choose accordingly. You are also only allowed to reserve two activities at one time, so have to plan your day well to maximise your stay.
It is a very difficult place for parents. They have to run around to find jobs for their children. According to the indicator board, they can take the yellow card to major companies to register for work. The most stupid thing is that the indicator board does not show the number of vacancies. Being able to run around is also a blessing.
