Tokyo Owakudani & Hakone Shrine Full-Day Tour with River Cruise

Highly recommended, during booking I gave my weChat ID. On the night before the tour, driver added me on weChat. Thankfully I can speak Chinese so it was easy for me to communicate with the driver. At Japan Time 7:40AM i arrived at the meeting point, our tour van departed punctually at 8am from Tokyo Station to pickup the rest at the next meeting point. Traffic was bad 3 hours journey, so driver swapped the itinerary around and took us to Hakone Shrine first, we reached at Japan Time 11:10am and didnt have time to queue and take photo with the iconic shrine so i took from the side instead. Then we assembled at 12noon JST & driver drove us to the place where we could buy tickets and board the pirate ship hakone sightseeing cruise+ ropeway cable car (own cost) For those who are not interested to take it, stay in the car and driver will bring you to Lake Ashi and later Owakudani. Tried the legendary Owakudani eggs. So from my pirate ship, cable car, owakudani area we had 2.5 hours to ourselves. The next timing was Japan Time 2:30PM at the tour van to depart for the next Gotemba premium outlet, we reached around 3.45/4pm JST. then we had 1 hour to shop, before another traffic jam back to Tokyo, by the time we arrive it was already close to 8pm JST. Cost savings wise it was cheaper to take this tour than to DIY and train there yourself, however i think if time allows, should stay at Mt Fuji area for 1-2 nights so it wouldnt be so rush.

Our tour guide, Yuan Yang, was fantastic! His explanations were rich, interesting, and engaging, and he took great care of everyone. He was thoughtful and attentive with photo opportunities and meal arrangements, making for a relaxing yet fulfilling day trip. I highly recommend this tour guide and would definitely join his day tour again!

Did the tour with Jack as our tour guide. It was a great day albeit a bit shorter compared to other tours but that’s expected with the itenirary. He was very funny, cheerful and shared his knowledge and explained everything perfectly :) always pointed us to the right direction so we got everything we wanted done. over all very relaxing trip don’t need to think about anything, and good length if you want to keep your afternoon open! would recommend.

The driver was very nice and arrived at the location on time. Unfortunately, the shopping time was too short and the pirate ship ride was too short (it is recommended to buy economy class and get off the ship at one stop). The rest was great! Finally, we have to go back to the station and we leave at 15:36. We don’t get back to the station until about 1830-1900. We have to be prepared for traffic jams on the return trip.

Our tour guide Yuan Yang has a great service attitude and is humorous. He brought us a pleasant and unforgettable day!

Despite the terrible weather, we had a lovely time, thanks to our tour guide Tom, who tride his best and provided useful information about all the stops!

When boarding from Shinjuku, there were many other day tours, so it was difficult to find a guide. I went there after seeing the guide flag, but it was a different tour. The course was well planned and the guide's explanations were friendly and good. The prices of boats you can board in Hakone are one-way, round-trip, and vary depending on the type of boat. A 55-minute round trip ride on the boat attached to the photo cost 2,200 yen.

It was a hassle free tour & cost very reasonable. Would have not been able to get to Hakone by ourselves.. Our tour guide “TOM” is a very AWESOME, knowledgeable and nice guide. I will definitely recommend this tour to my family and friends. Thank you Tom!
