Reviews
The guide was very thoughtful and the trip fairly well-arranged to see these three impressive modern temples. This would be difficult to do by yourself, but the group trip makes it relatively painless.
Brilliant from start to finish! Our guide, Katy, was wonderful. We had plenty of time at each temple and Katy was very knowledgeable and also happy to help take photos. I would definitely recommend this tour, even though it’s a long drive :) Timings: 7.10 first pick up, 8 last pick up, 10 coffee and toilet break (plus pastries on sale), 11 arrive White Temple and lunch time (own expense), 12.45 leave and head to Blue Temple, 2 leave and head to Red Temple, 3 leave Red Temple and back to Chiang Mai by 7pm (including toilet break.)
We had the pleasure of joining a temple tour in Chiang Rai, and I couldn't have asked for a better guide. From start to finish, our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and deeply passionate about the history and culture of the region. We visited several iconic temples, including the famous White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), the Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten), and the less crowded, yet equally stunning, Wat Saeng Kaeo Phothiyan. Each location was breathtaking, and our guide provided fascinating insights into the architectural styles, religious symbolism, and local legends associated with each site. What stood out most was how the guide seamlessly blended storytelling with history. They didn’t just provide facts; they told us the stories behind the temples, the artists, and the traditions of Northern Thailand, making every stop feel personal and alive. They also answered all of our questions with patience and enthusiasm, which made the experience feel like a true cultural exchange rather than a simple sightseeing trip. Additionally, the pace of the tour was perfect. We had enough time at each temple to appreciate the art and architecture, take photos, and absorb the atmosphere without feeling rushed. Wish we had more time to eat at the lunch buffet. The guide also ensured we had water and breaks when needed, making the experience comfortable even in the warm weather. Overall, the tour was informative, immersive, and thoroughly enjoyable. If you’re planning to visit Chiang Rai, I highly recommend this temple tour—it’s a fantastic way to explore the city’s rich spiritual heritage and gain a deeper understanding of Thai culture.
The temple in Chiang Rai is absolutely beautiful. Our tour guide explained its history very well, which made the visit even more meaningful. We also had plenty of time to explore the temple grounds on our own. It was a wonderful experience and definitely worth visiting.
We really enjoyed this private tour from the beginning until the end! 😀We got picked up from our hotel on time by our Tour Guide, Cookie, and the driver, on time. we were able to take a break every hour on the way to Chiang Rai, which was very helpful. Cookie was very friendly, knowledgeable and you could see how proud she was to show her local places. the temples were beautiful (especially the blue one). Cookie gave us so many insightful information about the temples, the concept of buddhism and reincarnation. i really enjoyed listening to her during the whole trip. in addition, we decided to skip the last temple and Cookie decided to bring us to a local street market and show all the local food to try out. i highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to get flexibility in their journey!
Our tour guide was Boon and our driver was Mr. Sak (I hope I spelled it correctly). Boon was very lively, generous and friendly. He did his best to explain the temples, and shared many interesting stories and beliefs. He also gave us free mango sticky rice and postcards. Mr. Sak drove efficiently and safely — he also made the trip wonderful! The tour started on time, and transfers were efficient. Perhaps the only feedback to improve on is to allot more time on the sites. Definitely a tour with good value for money!
The guide was great and informative i liked that our guide wore company shirt so we could easily spot them. I also liked that he would brief us in the van or be hand so it gave us more time to look around. The temples went to were amazing highly recommend.
Awesome day tour to 3 big beautiful temples with Peter as our funny and attentive tour guide. We even got a mango sticky rice at the end of the tour as a souvenir. Smooth pickup and drop off and punctual time. Recommended if you're in Chiang Mai.
excellent day tour from chiangmai. Fully enjoy the temples visit and took many pretty photos of the architecture
We enjoyed visiting ChiangRai and the different temples, as the temples themselves were one of a kind and breathtaking. The tour itself could be a bit more informative but no complains from our side. the tour was a small group about 8 people in a van, the ride is quite long but not uncomfortable. The white temple was the main attraction among the others and definitely a must see when visiting northern Thailand. The blue temple was also nice. Women should wear something to cover their shoulder and knees for these temples.
