What To Expect from Speedboat Racha & Coral Islands Day Tour
Experience the best snorkeling off Phuket's southern coast at the top sites of Racha (Raya) and Coral islands. Small enough to circumnavigate by foot, these islands are pleasantly undeveloped, providing a true tranquil escape from the bustle of Phuket. Long white sands and exceptional year-round snorkeling and swimming make it a perfect destination for daytrippers. You'll hop between the two islands, finding your perfect spot to snorkel or relax before heading to shore for a delicious buffet lunch at a beachside restaurant. The emerald waters are home to a wealth of colorful aquatic life, where sightings of vibrant coral, rainbow trout, puffer fish and giant star fish are all on the agenda.

Reviews
The experience was wonderful! We got to enjoy the stunning beauty of Racha and Coral Islands, with their crystal-clear, unpolluted blue waters. Safety was a top priority throughout the trip, and the instructors were attentive and professional, making me feel well looked after at all times. Our tour guide, Leo, was fun, engaging, and caring, keeping everyone entertained while ensuring we had a memorable experience. He truly made the whole trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
I wasn't sure how I would be contacted for pickup, and although I had registered the provided phone number, I didn't receive any contact until the day of the tour. I prepared within the estimated pickup time and waited in the hotel lobby. I then received a call, and the driver was waiting outside for the transfer, so we met up successfully. After checking in, you can enjoy complimentary drinks, but I recommend bringing your own breakfast if you haven't eaten. We brought takeout bread from a cafe below our hotel. Motion sickness medication was available, but I took what I brought from Japan. Ultimately, I didn't experience much swaying and didn't get seasick. Our guide, Leo, was excellent; he made everyone laugh with his jokes while clearly conveying important information. It was also reassuring that there were about three other Japanese groups, possibly due to the long holiday weekend. Once we arrived at the beach, we enjoyed the truly beautiful ocean freely. Tents cost 200-300 baht. Lunch was a buffet, and all the dishes were flavorful and easy to eat, which was very satisfying. On the return boat trip, they distributed fruit, and drinking water was freely available. Although I didn't participate in the snorkeling, the beach itself was beautiful, and it was a very satisfying and enjoyable tour. We were also transferred back to our hotel in the same vehicle.
Two parents in their 60s and one preschooler went on this trip. Seasickness is subjective, but no one in our family experienced it. Our guide, Rio, was very pleasant. He was good at Chinese and English, but not so much at Korean. At lunchtime, my dad wasn't used to the local food, and I saw a picture of Shin Ramyun at the restaurant, so I tried to order it, but they said they didn't have it. It might be a good idea to bring your own food. At the very end, there was a tip box passed around for voluntary tips, which was nice because there was no pressure to pay for various experiences. They also provided juice, drinks, and fruit, so it was quite good value for money. The most disappointing thing was that the snorkeling time at Racha Island was too short. They said it would be about 40 minutes, but after putting on the gear and everything, it felt more like 30 minutes. Also, many reviews said Coral Island wasn't as pretty, but with good weather, everything looked beautiful. This tour seems to be heavily dependent on the weather more than anything else. The last picture with the fish is from Coral Island!
Fantastic experience, the islands we visited are very beautiful and worth the price paid. Good organization and friendly, pleasant staff. Recommended!
We had a brilliant time on the Racha & Coral Islands Day Tour! The islands were absolutely breathtaking – crystal-clear turquoise waters and white sandy beaches that looked like something from a postcard. Our guide, Leo, was full of energy and had a great sense of humour, making sure everyone was having a good time throughout the day. Compared to our Phi Phi Islands trip earlier in the week (which was overcrowded and disappointing, with around 70 people crammed onto a catamaran with no view), this experience was a breath of fresh air. The speedboat was a fantastic option, offering panoramic views and a far more comfortable and relaxed journey. Lunch had just a few options, but it was tasty and nicely presented, and there were opportunities to buy additional drinks around the islands. We took some amazing photos and really appreciated the laid-back atmosphere and stunning scenery. Would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone looking to explore beautiful locations and enjoy a well-organised island-hopping adventure!
this is a fun yet relaxing activity. Host let you pick what free activity are you wanting to do. People that want to stay on the beach - the captain drops them off at the island while the rest of group goes on snorkeling. which give them maximum time to do their choice of activity. the package came with lunch, which was alright. would be nice if they have more selections. There are kids in our group and noticed that the selected restaurant did not have much choices for the kids. But other than that it was a nice excursion.
The tour to Ratcha and Coral Island was fun; the beaches there are stunning—white sand and turquoise water, ideal for snorkeling right from the shore. It's important to note that many of the tours try to sell additional activities, such as diving, banana boat rides, or water shoes, etc. It's a bit like a coffee tour. However, if you know what you're getting into and want to see both islands, the tour is ideal in terms of value for money.
Our tour guide, Leo, was very funny and humorous. You can ask him anything during the tour. He speaks English and some Chinese. He provides private car service. For those staying in Bang Tao, the earliest pick-up is 7:00 AM, and there's an extra 200 baht per person for the transfer. We departed at 9:30 AM, and our first stop was to Coral Island. Passengers who aren't snorkeling will be dropped off at the beach first. You can also pay extra here to participate in scuba diving. Renting a beach umbrella on the island costs 200 baht with no time limit. Using the restroom costs 30 baht. The restaurant where we had lunch has free restrooms. The food is Thai cuisine, simple but delicious. After lunch, we stayed on Coral Island for about 1 hour. Coral Island has free restrooms and a restaurant that accepts credit cards. Renting a beach chair costs 100 baht. Optional activities like parasailing and banana boat rides are at your own expense. We didn't offer diving services at Coral Island, you could only swim in the sea. The itinerary was well-arranged. The longest boat ride was 40 minutes. We returned to the port around 4 PM, but this is during peak traffic time, so be prepared for traffic jams. Free water, juice, and fruit are provided on board. This trip is suitable for families or families with young children.
Good friendly service, food provided was sufficient and balance. boat was new and safe with life jackets. the snorkeling set is new too. rata Island beach was beautiful with white sandy beach at a bay-- so smooth waves. Coral island had corals at the bottom and advise to put on life jacket and bring own snorkeling set for a full positive experience. the show may help to prevent you from getting cuts from the floor bed, but tbh try not to step on them n destroy these corals will be better. we got the shared transport. they didn't get in touch with me the nights before the tour and i was anxiously waiting at hotel lobby. but they came within the time frame as advised on the app in their program, comfortable and swift. no regrets booking with this provider.
Do not miss raya island when you are in phuket for the best water quality and swim. the time we reached coral it already became cloudy and windy. despite that we have had an amazing time
