What to expect
Take a private taxi from Kagoshima to Hinokami Distillery, Japan’s southernmost distillery on the mainland, for a unique 90-minute SPECIAL PLAN.
Tour the whisky-making facilities with expert staff and visit the rare on-site cooperage to discover the craftsmanship behind Hinokami whisky. The highlight is the world’s first anechoic chamber and vision-limiting “Red Room” tasting, where outside noise and visual distractions are reduced to heighten your senses and reveal the whisky’s delicate flavors.
Finish with a premium tasting flight at the Visitor Center BAR, comparing distinctive craft whiskies while enjoying panoramic views of Mount Kaimon and the East China Sea.
An English-speaking guide will not accompany the group, but the tour inside the distillery will be conducted in English.

- By Japanese law, the legal drinking age is 20. Underage drinking is strictly prohibited.
- This tour requires a minimum of 2 passengers to operate.
- Alcohol consumption is not allowed for guests who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Soft drinks will be provided instead.
- The charter taxi departs from and returns to either Kagoshima-Chuo Station or Marine Port. Please select your preferred location when booking.
