What to expect
Discover the art of traditional Japanese umbrella making at Kasamori Wagasa. Guided by a skilled artisan, create your own 30 cm mini wagasa using bamboo, colorful washi paper, and traditional techniques. No experience is needed, and you'll receive support throughout the 90-minute workshop.
Take your handcrafted mini wagasa home as a unique souvenir or meaningful gift. Conveniently located next to the historic Higashi Chaya District, this hands-on experience is a perfect addition to your Kanazawa sightseeing itinerary.
Good to know
- A maximum of 4 participants is allowed per group.
- Aprons and protective wear are provided, so you can comfortably join the workshop—even while wearing a kimono.
- Suitable for participants aged 6 and above.
- This is a private experience exclusively for your group.
- Your guide will meet you at your hotel in Kanazawa. Please provide your hotel name when booking.
- If you prefer to meet at JR Kanazawa Station or directly at Higashi Chaya District, please let us know at the time of booking. Meeting location changes cannot be refunded.
