At KUROMAMEDO you can experience various activities, such as making a DARUMA doll using your favorite WASHI paper, crafting MIZUHIKI charms or accessories using lovely colored strings, creating MAIKO bookmarks, and many more. The range of activities allows you to create a product that really speaks to you! Please visit our store and create your original souvenir today! There is also the option to purchase already crafted souvenirs in the store. Some participants bring some Drafts of daruma faces. You can draw anykind of face such as your favorite character’s one on yours.

Tomomi was our guide and teacher for this workshop. Firstly I have to say she was the first person ever who gave such precise directions for the location, it didn’t even take me a minute to find the workshop. please do look out for her email before. Tomomi is a very gentle and encouraging teacher and she explained the techniques so patiently and nicely… she also took us through the history of Darumo which was quite enlightening. all in all this was one of the best experience I have had in Japan. this one is a MUST do especially Tomomi”s workshop and class!!
