Location: China National Height Datum Scenic Area
Intro: The six-meter-high bronze sculpture of the National Height Datum is the landmark of the scenic area. This bronze resembles a large plumb bob, and the tip of the bob indicates the "National Height Datum of the People's Republic of China" measured by experts. Below the sculpture is an observation well, and at the bottom of the observation well is a huge red agate ball. The top plane of this sphere is the zero-meter mark of China's elevation. The altitude of China's famous mountains is measured from this datum.
