It was so delicious. More than I expected. There were so many people on the way and the weather was very hot, but it was worth going to eat. The service was great and the food was excellent.
First time having a full tofu meal, beautiful environment, assigned to a private room with a view of the courtyard. It would be even more beautiful if the maple leaves were all red. The food is delicious, with a strong bean flavor.
When visiting Kyoto, you must try the local tofu dishes. The staff were very friendly and polite, and the restaurant's garden scenery and architecture were also beautiful. Being able to sit down and enjoy a meal in such a lovely environment, away from the noisy streets of Ninen-zaka, was a wonderful experience in itself. I was particularly impressed by the miso-grilled tofu; the green sauce on top paired perfectly with the tofu. The tofu hot pot itself had no extra seasoning, and the broth was simply a piece of kombu. While it allowed me to savor the natural flavor of the tofu, it was a bit too bland for my personal taste. I hope the restaurant can introduce more set menus with various cooking methods to enhance the dining experience.😌
Absolutely 5 stars. Having our own private room overlooking a peaceful garden away from the bustling streets was amazing. The food was so so good, an absolute must if you like tea and tofu. The staff speak a little English and are very kind and helpful.
Booking your meal in advance on Klook allows you to avoid waiting in line. Otafuku Kiyomizu's dishes are very famous.
Experience the surprisingly delightful taste of tofu, crafted using traditional techniques passed down for over a century.
Ideally located with an elegant interior, this establishment showcases a quintessential traditional Japanese house style. The meticulously crafted tofu banquet, prepared using time-honored techniques, is truly impressive.
The overall service is good. The handsome guy at the door is interesting and polite. The service小姐 (Miss) is from Taiwan and speaks Mandarin. But the taste doesn't quite suit our palate.
